More Info on Rolf’s Joe and Max Movie. The TV guide people give quite a nice snyopis of it and mentioned that it will be shown several times. It will show on Saturday the 9th, Sunday the 10th (twice), and Thrusday the 14th (twice)and Monday the 18th. Check your local listings for the times. Any how not only was it a good snyopis, but… they mentioned our own Rolf in the major cast credits. Yeah Rolf!

This 2002 biopic recounts the two epic pre-WWII heavyweight bouts between American “Brown Bomber” Joe Louis and Hitler’s “Aryan Superman,” Max Schmeling. For acting honors it’s a draw between Leonard Roberts (Louis) and Til Schweiger (Schmeling), who go toe-to-toe in this cinematic slugfest. More than just a sports bio, the movie crosses political, racial and diplomatic lines as it illustrates how the two fighters were perceived in their respective countries. It also plays like a toned-down buddy film: Despite being dogged rivals in the ring, the men developed a lifelong friendship outside it. The made-for-cable film is rated PG-13 for strong language and violence.
