Perhaps, because Kai has, as he said, regained a knowledge of good and evil, that is why killing her has become a necessity. Just as killing, say Stalin, would have been a necessity for someone had they come across him before he had a chance to unlease himself on his own countrymen but had prior insight into Stalin’s capabilities and proclivities. Kai might have needed to kill her to prevent her from unleasing her apocalyse upon the planet Earth, something he knew she fully intended to do. (and, yeh, girl! something oddly strange about seeing the dead man in black flat on his back!
