SPOILER!
Yes, or perhaps it’s like some kind of honey or royal jelly used to sustain the little eggies(larvae?) that were attached to it’s underbelly. Whatever it is, it’s obviously restorative/preservative/supervitalizing stuff. And, as we saw in “Vlad” the Time Prophet was indeed involved. Unfortunately, not in a good way. That slattern killed her! (I met her at UnCon, she seemed so much sweeter then) Vlad kicked my poor dead man’s arse so badly, I know the dead felt that! Whupped him like he owed her money and a bag of chips. But, I’m glad she wasn’t the Time Prophet; I kinda liked to think of the TP as a more neutral character (though, now she’s a more dead character, or is she? cycles of time and all that ).

Heh, just had another whacky thought, maybe Vlad is still the time prophet, I mentioned before that the assassin would have to kill itself in every cycle to ensure that there was only one of her running about.
I heard that the actress who play’s the time prophet is the same as one who play’s Vlad, so Vlad kills the time prophet so that she can become the prophet later on and the cycle’s continue the same way.
Who know’s, as usual this is going out on a limb, but would be an effective way of making sure that only one of her exists in each cycle.

It was very disturbing to see Kai at Vlad’s mercy like that (and strangely exciting to see him brought to his knees). I give up trying to understand these time prophet theories. Being brainless, I haven’t got a chance.

Just reading Hypatia’s update, and noticed a little thing that again suggests that the assassin might be trying to ensure that the events in the cycle of time are continued.
“My killing you will not just be an act of vengance, it will be an act of necessity” he says. “You’re sounding very motivated for a Divine Assasian”

Act of neccessity, why, maybe because she needs that too happen for events to play out as pre-determined in the previous cycles.
Funny thing is, is that a super-assassin should have even less of a motivational imperative than Kai, I mean Kai did his job, but wasn’t motivated to do it, HDS just simply would give him target and Kai would kill them, HDS never said ‘there’s an extra pint of Protoblood in it for you, if make them do a silly dance before you kill them’, so why does Vlad seem so motivated to kill Kai.
Maybe she has her own personal agenda, killed TP without permission from HDS perhaps, and no longer follows the objectives laid down by the order.
The ‘necessity’ part is interesting, it couldn’t be a necessity for the purpose of fulfilling the Divine order’s wishes, as they are no longer (at least in this period of time), so why would it become a neccessity???

spoiler to a spoiler

vlad doesn’t know the divine order is gone, kai tells her that, and that he killed hds…remember, she’s been cryopodded for a while now, and has not kept up on current events…

Perhaps, because Kai has, as he said, regained a knowledge of good and evil, that is why killing her has become a necessity. Just as killing, say Stalin, would have been a necessity for someone had they come across him before he had a chance to unlease himself on his own countrymen but had prior insight into Stalin’s capabilities and proclivities. Kai might have needed to kill her to prevent her from unleasing her apocalyse upon the planet Earth, something he knew she fully intended to do. (and, yeh, girl! something oddly strange about seeing the dead man in black flat on his back! But, when she had him down on his knees with that sucky, tubey thingy (ew!) well, hells bells…I was all agape, Aurora, all agape ) (I dunno, FX, that was definitely lookin’ more tiramasu than chocolate Haagen-Dazs )

As for all this motivation on the part of Vlad and Kai. I’s mighty confused. Kai says all this stuff about good & evil and therefore necessary to kill Vlad – *but* doesn’t make sense to be – *cuz* he is all ready to blow up Earth, so it can’t be to save all the earthlings from her. Or is he thinking about the rest of humanity in the Dark Zone, and Earth is expendable in the bigger picture?
I think I understand Vlad’s motivation better, she’s an addict, and that’s a motivation I can understand. Seems to me they said pretty plainly that super-assassins like her were made with an addiction to protoblood that ensured their relentless pursuit of regegade Kai-types. And like any addiction, she can never get enough, and never be satisfied.

squishi had a question several postings ago regarding Vlad’s creation–couldn’t post an answers last night, hope this works today.

This is another spoiler, if there’s any point in warning anyone on this thread!

When Kai tells Xev about the Divine Executioners, there’s a rather unexpected cut
to a scene of Vlad’s “creation”. She is on a pedestal of some sort in the midst of
a huge, glowing, convoluted tunnel. It actuallly looks like her head is coming out of a jar like Mantrid’s (no doily though). I’m probably explaining this rather badly, maybe someone else can give you a better vision of it. It’s only a few seconds long. It made me think “breeding chamber”, but that was more an attempt to be descriptive than anything else, I sure can’t tell (yet) what’s going on there.

Chew on that for a while!

Like I said before, I don’t actually get to see any of what you guy’s are seeing, but I still like to join in on the theories and discussions, unfortunately, my theories are based on what I’ve heard and what was said in previous seasons, so I’m at a disadvantage.
So please don’t feel that what I say I feel to be true, it’s just I’ve got this over-active imagination, and love coming up with these wacky ideas, but they are never meant to be based on what actually happens.
It’s funny how this flashback wasn’t mentioned before, but then I suppose the biggest impact in Vlad, was the battle with Kai, so I suppose something’s will get overlooked.

So on the Cluster, HDS sent them out with the knowledge that they won’t get any protoblood unless they kill the renegade’s, well that would be motivation enough.
I’m a little confused over the blowy up the earth thing, I would think that Earth is neccessary in the overall plot, but to the crew and Vlad they are not concerned with it being destroyed, maybe the crew learn that Earth is important at some point.
I was recently thinking that Earth was the only planet with humanity on it (based on cycle of time), but Prince had said there were a thousand people suffering on a thousand different planets, so indicating that Earth was not the only planet to have human life on it, and there was me thinking humanity began from Earth in the new cycle of time.

I almost feel a tickle in my brain, but of course my brain is gone, so it must be fleas. Didn’t Kai say to Xev something about knowing “how Vlad was blooded” made him “know the meaning of fear,” or whatever? That kind of suggests to me that Vlad *was* a nasty b***h before she was ever turned into a Divine Executioner. Like she was such an evil person in life that she was chosen for this “job” and she can be expected to go *way* beyond the call of evil duty.

It’s only a few seconds and comes from out of left field. Kinda slipped my mind too for a while. Once Kai and Vlad start doing their “dance” that’s pretty much the part you remember. And if Kai doesn’t get you going, I think Vlad will.

Yeah seems to be a bit of a bitch, I wonder if HDS was doing a tour of the 20,000 planets, while looking for candidates for Divine Executioners, he checked the prisons and found some of the galaxy’s most evil criminals, and there he could have found Vlad.
Pity he didn’t come across Giggy, she would have been one helluva Divine Executioner, and would have kicked Vlad’s bottom.
I think her lust for pain and suffering will be her demise, I think Kai can use this to good effect if he has to face her again, as he won’t be clouded by such emotions.

I think there were probably only a few Divine Executioners, so much work to make one. And Kai knows her by name.

So the Time Prophet will tell the future to anyone who asks? Vlad? HDS? Whose side is she on?

I was just wondering if anyone can remember what type of headgear the time prophet was wearing?, mainly because of the mad theory of Vlad being TP (a little vidcap would be great), It would shut me up if I saw that TP didn’t have a cone shaped head like Vlad.

I don’t think the Time Prophet is really on any side, per se, because apparently anyone can seek audience with her. Though, when you think about it, she has gone out of her way to help Kai do in the Divine Order, right down to telling some stranger obscure directions that won’t be useful for over 2000 years when Stanley stumbles and accidently touches the stranger’s template in “Supernova.” I think she’s got a gift, like an oracle, that separates her from the herd but I think her heart’s still in the right place. I dig the Time Prophet, blessed and cursed all at once.

Boy, I’m gonna try and do this image thing but if I get a big black hole I’ll just direct you to the page but here is the Time Prophet from “Brigadoom.” The headgear is essentially the same, though the age is different, I believe. Pointy hat but not necessarily pointy hair under that hat.

Just saw the last in the season of Lexx S3, and I’m back to my old cycle of time thingy.
Kai asks Prince how long Stanley’s essence will remain on fire, Prince tells him until the end of time, Kai then asks’ What happens then’, Prince replies ‘Then time will begin again and he will return to me’.
Seems like Prince was referring to a cycle of time, believing that Stanley is beyond rescue and will be falling to his death again in the new cycle and return to his suffering.
Also, Prince was amazed that Xev still lived her original life, and said that no one had ever come to Fire who had lived only one life.
So no-one in the Dark Zone had ever been to Fire and Water, how can that be possible, maybe Fire and Water just appeared after time began again, in the same way that the people on the planets just woke up.
