A Gallifrey One Convention Lexx Get-together

Hi Fellow Lexxians,
I’ve got an idea that might also work at the next yr’s Gallifrey One Convention; it’s a Science Fiction Convention that revolves mainly around Dr. Who, but has other Science Fiction Guests; it’s not as big as Dragon*Con, but it’s a quaint little convention that I’ve grown to love & enjoy . This convention startedout just being a Dr. Who Convention , in 1989, but it’s grown since then, to a Science Fiction Convention; there will be 2 Drs (Colin Baker & Sylvester McCoy), a whole bunch of Dr. Who Authors, editors & such, Bob May, Celeste Yarnall, Mojo, Eric Hoffman, & many others; some guests come just for the day, others, for the whole weekend. This convention’s a whole lot of fun & there are plenty to do during the day & night.
This convention’s usually held on President’s Weekend, but if not, it’s the weekend after; next yr’s will be held February 14-17, 2003 & will be at the Airtel Plaza Hotel in Van Nuys, CA; this is a nice hotel & great people working there. This yr’s convention’s going to be called `Gallifey One: EPISODE XIV: The Faction Paradox; the web address for the convention is: http://www.gallifreyone.com.
I’ve got an idea of bringing a Lexx presence to next yr’s Gallifrey Convention; if there’s enough of a presence, may be the Gallifrey Staff will get a Lexx guest or 2 in the LA, CA area; I thought may be, since we had a great influence at Dragon*Con, we can make that same influence at Gallifrey. If I get a chance, I’ll put it on my web page as well as e-mail Eric & some of the other Gally Staff members to let them know.

Hi Fellow Lexxians,
I have to let you all know about a guest change; Sylvester McCoy won’t be ablew to make it at next yr’s Gally; he couldn’t get out of his new play he’s in, so he’ll not be able to join us. Sylvester said that he’ll miss his fans & miss being there & will think of everyone during that weekend.
However, Peter Davison will be the new guest there at next yr’s Gally; he played Tristan in `All Creatures Great & Small’, 5th Dr, `Doctor Who’, & other shows. His Dr. was also known as `Doctor Preppy’.
I’ll let you know of any other changes & such; take care & have a great Fall.

Hi Fellow Leexians & Sci-Fi Fans,
I just went to the web site the other day & found out that the Airtel Plaza Hotel, for the Gallifrey Convention, has 75% or there abouts rooms filled; if you’d like to get a room at the Airtel, you better do it quickly, ’cause they’re going fast; as soon as I pay my bills next month, I’m getting my reservation at that hotel (if it’s not full by that time). If anyone’s going to next month’s Gallifrey Convention & would like to room with me, please let me know as soon as possible; I plan to make both flight & hotel reservations for next month’s Gally Convention, Monday. I hope that anyone can go, so that we can make an impression like we did at Dragon*Con last yr; I’d really like a post `Lexx’ following this yr, so may be, there can be Lexx guest at the Gallifrey Convention next yr.

I just made both my hotel & flight reservations on Monday; it’s 1 bed, nonsmoking, with both a hair dryer & coffeepot. If anyone is going to the Gally Convention & would like to room with me (2/14-18), please let me know before 2/13.

Hi Fellow Lexxians,
I’ll be flying off to a friend’s, then going to Gally in a couple days; I can’t wait to go & have tons of fun. I’ll be taking my new digital camera that I got for Christmas & can’t wait to start playing with it; when I do start, I don’t have to wait to get my pictures developed to see if I got someone’s head or not; I can delete the picture of that person’s head. I enjoy going to this convention a lot; I have a great time, make & see lots of people down there & get to do a lot of things.
As soon as I get back from my trip & get settled back to my routine, I’ll tell you nice people about my trip, I’ll even tell a little bit about my friend. 🙂 I’ll be taking plenty of pictures, & since this yr will be my 1st time using my digital camera, I’ll be taking my other camera to finish off the film that’s in there & because I’m more familiar with it. I’ll post them as soon as I can & let you people know where you can access them.
