ABOUT BABYLON 5: LEGEND OF THE RANGERS:

Babylon 5: The Legend of the Rangers is an all-new two-hour telefilm from the original creative team behind the hit sci-fi show Babylon 5. The movie tells the story of the legendary Ranger fleet as it attempts to restore order to hundreds of civilizations devastated by the Shadow War. Babylon
5: Legend of the Rangers premieres, Saturday, January 9 2002 at 9:00 Pm ET
and again with an encore presentation at 11:00 PM ET.

    BIOS:

    ALEX ZAHARA
    “Dulann”
Alex Zahara plays Dulann, a Minbari warrior monk who serves as first officer of the starship Liandra. A familiar face to sci-fi fans, Alex Zahara has appeared in numerous genre series, including recently portraying “Johanssen” in James Cameron?s Dark Angel. He has also made guest appearances on Andromeda, four episodes of Stargate SG-1 (as different characters), and the special 100th episode of The Outer Limits.

He also provided the voice of bounty hunter “Nick Logan” in forty episodes
of the animated series The Roswell Conspiracies, which aired on Cartoon
    Network.

Zahara also has an extensive list of feature films to his credit. After making his debut opposite Antonio Banderas and Omar Sharif in The Thirteenth Warrior, he went on to earn a Leo Award nomination for his performance in the critically-acclaimed short, Evirati. Zahara appeared recently opposite Marcia Gay Harden and Joe Montegna in Walking Shadow for
A&E and can be seen later this year in The Stick-Up, opposite James Spader. Zahara will also appear as a recurring character in Straczynski’s upcoming Showtime series, Jeremiah.

    DYLAN NEAL
    “Captain David Martel”
Dylan Neal plays a compassionate leader who is almost thrown out of the elite fighting group, “The Rangers,” for making a combat decision which saved his ship and the lives of his crew, but went against the traditional
    code of honor.

Over the past fifteen years, Dylan Neal’s reputation as a young, leading man has grown steadily in Hollywood. He has appeared in over forty films and television projects, including several television series in which he had starring roles. Film projects include the upcoming 40 Days and 40 Nights starring Josh Hartnett, and Old School starring Jack Black. On the television side, Dylan has had regular series roles on The Bold and the
Beautiful, Pacific Palisades, and Hyperion Bay. For the last five years, he has been playing the role of Doug Witter on Dawson’s Creek. A native Canadian, Mr. Neal now resides in Los Angeles.

    DEAN MARSHALL
    “Malcolm Bridges”
Dean Marshall plays Malcolm Bridges, the infiltration and covert operations specialist aboard the Liandra. He is armed with a “holo suit,” a unique weapon which enables him to look exactly like anyone he wishes to impersonate.

A longtime sci-fi fan, Dean Marshall has done extensive genre work. He has appeared in episodes of First Wave, The Outer Limits, Tek War and Poltergeist: The Legacy. He was also a principal in Da Vinci?s Inquest,
Canada?s most highly-rated series. Marshall also appeared in the award-winning short film, Save My Lost Nigga Soul, which won Best Canadian Short at the Toronto Film Festival of Festivals (1993) and tied for Best Short at the Chicago Film Festival (1993). Marshall has also done extensive
theater work, including playing the lead role in Laurence Fishburne?s Riff Raff, and “Mercutio” in Shakespeare in Action?s street version of Romeo and Juliet.

    WARREN T. TAKEUCHI
    “Kitaro Sasaki”
Warren T. Takeuchi plays Kitaro Sasaki, the Liandra?s navigation, communications and translations specialist.

The “T” in Warren T. Takeuchi stands for Teruo, the light that comes from a star. No wonder Takeuchi is a die-hard sci-fi fan, appearing in numerous genre series, including The X-Files, Dark Angel and Stargate SG-1. He is most widely recognized, however, for his recurring role of “Wayne the Deiner” in Da Vinci?s Inquest, Canada?s most highly-rated series. After six years, his acting portfolio encompasses well over 70 Canadian and American projects, including The Sixth Day and Lake Placid.

Most recently, he played a character similar to his influential idol, the late martial artist and philosopher Bruce Lee, in Oil Factory Inc?s short film Blow in Bag, directed by Kyle Davison. Well prepared for his action-heavy role, Takeuchi is a consummate athlete who studies various forms of martial arts. He has also studied graphic design and film, and is an avid artist (painting, drawing, sculpture) and musician (drums and guitar).

    {thanks Karl!}
