I haven’t seen a new episode
In an eon or two.
It’s true, it’s true,
A kind person took pity on me
And know I want to share my impressions
With all of you.
It’s all been rehashed in months
Some have scorned and crunched
The things I didn’t get to see.

Erm… I’m not sure how I felt about this episode. At one point, I thought “This is stupid.”
At another point I thought, OMG! I can’t believe they actually did that!
-*Everyone* getting “probed!”
-Kai getting his first poo. (and saying it was dry. I LMAO! Apparently, the dead do poo. How many times have you heared that one by now? heh.)And other times I just giggled. Bunny with that pink face mask trying to hit Xev… it
was such a visual joke! LOL, I never would have gotten the full effect without seeing it.The homage to Alien as the crew are hunting down the carrot, slight giggle.
I laughed at the “The dead do not…” statetement in this one, although I can’t remember it right now.There seemed to be a lot of jokes packed in this episode. (no pun intended at first typing, but what the heck, you can take it that way) I’ll have to watch it again to catch everything. Watching my hubby’s face was almost as much fun. He went from a look of “erm…this is really bad” to leaning forward in his chair and laughing at the faces of the crew during the carrot checking.
Just a couple of questions: All the spots on the US map showing where the carrots had infested… does anyone know if there was any inside joke about that? Like the spots were put where Lexx fans reside or anything? Just wondering.
Also, does anyone know if the chess game between Kai and Prince in this episode was aired in all countries? Some comments I’ve seen on sites leads me to believe that maybe it wasn’t.

I think you’re thinking of “The Game” which airs a few episodes later. That episode (without too many spoilers) is dedicated to an entire chess game being played by Kai and Prince for *serious* stakes, where the pieces come to life, and are played by the cast, new and *old*.
Without a doubt the best episode since Brigadoom imo. In Bad Carrot, they simply play a speed game of some sort, cant get a very good at what moves are being made.

And yeah I think most of us were a little up in arms over Bad Carrot =) But the probings were worth the wait!

The speed game is what I was speaking of. I had wondered if the evil gerbils of scifi had perhaps cut those bits out since they are so well known for cutting things out.
I think the speed game must have been shown everywhere. I think the U.S. edit is always the shortest (got to get those ads in!)

I would love to see the outakes from the ‘probing’ in this episode. You know they had to have cracked up a time or two.

It was aired in Australia, I can tell you that much… although we do get the original version of everything over here!Bad Carrot was in really bad taste and I just loved it! When Pres Priest was inhabited, they must have worn out bunches of whoopee cushions!This show was typical Lexx whacked out!
