I want to do a piece for the SadCAST on the best Sci Fi websites on the internet. The sites can cover any sci fi topic (eg. Sci Fi art, comics or Sci Fi podcasts etc) as weel as the general fansites and sci fi portals.

The ones I have at the moment are:
Scifi.com
Galacticast
The SF site
SFF World

plus various fansites.

Does anyone have a favourite science fiction website?

http://www.ladymaigrey.com/

for all things Andromeda

a comprehensive site that has it’s own voice (doesn’t try to copy Sadgeezer, as so many sf sites do)

She is a little bent though (notice some of the fan art is done by her very young children…but that is another subject…..) ๐Ÿ˜›

In addition to the obvious, like http://www.farscapeworld.com, here is a neat site for all things regarding Jules Verne:
http://jv.gilead.org.il/
I like the “illustrated” section because I remember those wondeful illustrated books from my childhood.

Also, not quite sci-fi but definitely weird site:

I like a good sci-fi site that includes a variety of media, not just words or reviews, or articles, but all of these things, including some good sci-fi pictures, and video-clips. So far, it hasn’t been easy finding anything that quite lives up to my expectations, but sadgeezer, I do think, is on the right track and does quite well towards meeting this demand.

I also like a good sci-fi online database, and http://www.scifimatter.com/ appears to be one of the best I’ve found so far. It has short reviews and links to hundreds of sci-fi and fantasy websites, dealing with reviews, articles, fiction, and artworrk.

http://locusmag.com/ is a pretty good site for following the latest fiction, with some reviews of the recent movies and videos, and links to some interesting sites.

The main thing I enjoy about http://www.scifi.com/sfw/ is the original artwork gallery. Some really great sci-fi/fantasy pics there.

When it comes to favorites, I base my favoritism on what the site specializes in, so it depends on the aspect. So far, I have yet to see a site that really covers all aspects as well as desired. I suppose, however, this is mainly due to the fact that no single group of people has free reign over such a wide domain.

A very nice site indeed, with some sober reviews too. Reviews all kind of stuff, both TV and movie.

I must add this one to the list, although not strictly/only sci-fi:

The Shining is the best…!

War of the Worlds was quite humorous. As an animator, I’m amazed at how much content they can squeeze into 30 seconds. Dunno how they do it, but I’ll figure it out.
