ParticipantBetter yet, is the whole story some sort of attempted cryptic prophecy in allegory?
The story line is so intricate, I find myself trying to read “beyond” between the lines.
With the entire story having a pre-determined plot line (not a bunch of random episodes, like the original BSG), you know they will eventually find Earth. So what profound culmination of events will this story end in? My gut feeling is, The final episode (when it eventually comes) will leave us in awe for weeks on end, with some sort of soul-wrenching social statement.
Remember – “This has all happened before, and it will happen again.” I think that theme will somehow be fully brought to light as the series reaches it’s ultimate climax.

ParticipantLong live the new flesh!
Well, I’m more concerned about some of these nanobots replicating out of control. But the utility of these machines will probably be restricted to very small, specific tasks.
In other news http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/4357613.stm… a US particle accelerator may have created a black hole. I would call that more troublesome news 😀

ParticipantHow about “Self-evolving Artificial DNA”?
We’ve had it for a year now.

Technically, we have the ability to go much further than nanobots. To have created something entirely with a literal “life of it’s own”

I gave up. But Thinker did put me on trail of something better.
