KeymasterIs there some connection with Brunnis and Earth?
When 790 is looking for Brunnis (Supernova), he sees a planet that looks alot like Earth woulda 4000 or so years ago.
Coincidence? And when Lexx is flying away from Brunnis, the view of the galaxy looks like the Milky way would look close to Earth.
Why did Kai suggest Xev blow up Earth in S4?
He’s never suggested blowing up a planet, especially an inhabited one, before. Not even Fire.So does Kai know somthing about Earth? Do Brunnis and Earth share somthing?
So theres my wierd Lexx theory.
Thoughts anyone?

That I suspect was because Kai must really believe this assassin to either be a real threat to him or a threat to everyone else.-SM

GuestActually, in the first episode of the second series, Kai insisted that Stan blow up Mantrid’s prison planet after the insect was revived. The population consisted of the insect, the dying Mantrid, Mantrid’s lackey, 3 drones, Zev and Kai himself.

I thought Brunnis was destroyed in the supernova? (Hence the name of the movie?)

GuestFlamegrape; I’m not saying Brunnis was Earth.
I think there’s some connection between them.I was wrong about him never suggesting that they blowup a planet (thanks for pointing that out). But never unless it was a threat, right? So how did he know that Earth was a threat?

Maybe the uber-assassin alone is what makes Earth a threat?

GuestBut he suggested they blow up Earth before he learned about the assasin.
Wish I had S4 taped, oh well I can start taping it tomorrow.

Yes but if we are thinking along the lines of the cycles of time, then Brunnis exists again, remember the sun did say that this event (the supernova) had happened many times before.
Hypatia I like your theory on Earth being Brunnis, it could be that Earth was made uninhabitable due to a cataclysmic event, it became hospitable again and the Brunnis culture arose from the ashes.
But then, if that were true, why would Kai feel impelled to destroy his home planet?

ParticipantKai says Earth is in the darkest part of the Dark Zone. He knows this because his ancestors lived there. Earth is the origin of all evil.
When are we gonna get back to the Children of Vora (Lexx 1.2)?
Hey, this is my 500th post as DalekTek790.

GuestI’m not saying that Brunnis was Earth, just that they could be connected. But thanks Squish, I wasn’t even thinking of the time cycles. I guess then Earth could be Brunnis then.

And just think that it was on a topic I started. I’m so honored.

GuestI dunno about Earth being Brunnis but Kai always seemed to have a pretty decent radar for evil of a Divine Order nature. If he was ready to blow up Earth with all its inhabitants, you know there must have been something funky down there trippin’ out the bun-man. Now, he’s probably gonna get his clock cleaned by a chick with a hairdo that, if it’s at all possible, is even more tricked out than his own. (that must be some measure of evil in the Order; the higher the hair on the assassin, the more butt-kickin’ ability ) But, nevertheless, Earth is in the Dark Zone and Kai does have the collected memory of thousands of peoples in his mind so he must be able to access some information about this part of the Dark Zone; maybe even from some of his own ancestors killed at the hands(claws) of one of the insects? Arrgghhh! Thanks, Hypatia, I’ll be up thinkin’ about this all night! Mercifully, it’s Friday tomorrow and we’ll have more answers. Oh, congrats, DT, on your 500 big ones! Whoo! I seem to remember that Kai was all for leaving the vicinity of Earth right from the start.

GuestYeah, he suggests blowing up Earth in the very first ep. Before he’s even been there. So I’m thinking that either somthing he learned from HDS or from the Brunnin-G convinced him.
Maybe the Beans had the same experiance with buffant-haired teachers, FX. Probably the same people who made them eat too many carrots

See? Lexx is just one big shrink session for the Beans to work out all their childhood and adolescent traumas before they can move onto “serious” projects. Our brains are all just little couches for them to squat in each week. (ew! )
