How’s this for weird, apparantly a crop circle has appeared in Wiltshire, England, it’s design matches that of the symbol of the Divine Order.
I saw this on the Lexx newsgroup where the thread carried a link, needless to say, I investigated further.
Perhaps by coincidence, the site with the pic had exceeded it’s bandwidth capacity due to too many hits, it goes on to explain that it has grabbed worldwide attention.
Anyway, I haven’t seen the pic, so I can’t validate it.
Well I know people consider us Lexx fans cult viewers, but looks like somebody is taking the cult very seriously, who know’s, some nutter maybe starting his own Divine Order!!!
Or is Mr D a reincarnation of Nostradamus, and wrote Lexx to warn us of impending doom?, could there have been a cryptic message to warn of the coming of His Divine Shadow in the show, well thanx Mr D, it’s a bit late now as HDS seems to have arrived, so let me just finish with a message to our new master…I Worship His Divine Shadow.Squishy, new slave of The Divine Order!!!
P.S Join me now, or you could end up grub for the protein bank!!!

You can see something like The Divine Order logo bottom right, personally I think it’s a lot of fuss over nothing, as there doesn’t appear to be enough segments in it…oh my god, I just realised I am taking this far too seriously, somebody shoot me NOW!!!

Annoyed Squishy24th August 2001 at 10:57 am #48333AnonymousGuestThe circle in the bottom right is identical nearly. Good pic to add to my Lexx misc and funny stuff folders Thanks Squishy
24th August 2001 at 10:59 am #48334AnonymousGuestSimilar but not enough segments.

Know enough about geometry and such. You don’t have to be a freakin’ alien to make them. To say humans can’t is selling us short. Look at all the wonders of architecture. Pyramids,Stonehenge,The Golden Gate Bridge, heck the Pentagon.

OMG, please, take this as a warning…Do not, I repeat, Do not, buy any carrots!!!! And never, ever, bend over in the Produce Section of your supermarket!!!!!24th August 2001 at 8:36 pm #48338AnonymousGuestHmm, they’re Lexxians. Obviously a sign of intelligence.
Crismuth- Thumbs up.
I watched a show once where they made crop circles (Martha Stewart ) and it looked pretty easy. If Lexx is canceled we should make giant crop cirles with the Divine order symbol to protest.

Hmmm, I’m not so sure about all being man-made. the farmer whose field is regularly affected did admit that after the ban form public walkways was lifted because of foot and mouth disease the circles appeared again the next day.
But he also said that one appeared while the ban was in place, and that during the summer the light hours last so long that it would have been impossible not to be spotted, and the formation of circles was gigantic, some scientist reckoned that an only an Army could have created the circles and that each circle must of been completed in 30 seconds…bit difficult to miss an army isn’t it, makes you wonder!!!

LOL, if there is some nutter creating crop circles in the shape of the Divine Order logo, then it’s feasible that another nutter is waiting for the opportunity to do dastardly things with a carrot, from here on in, I’m going to ask a supermarket assistant to get the carrots…just in case!!!

Annoyed Squishy25th August 2001 at 12:32 am #48342AnonymousInactiveIf you read the circlemakers site, you’ll find that they have made circles for TV and magazines that have been declared authentic by ‘experts’, and have been blamed for Mill Hill (but deny it)
25th August 2001 at 3:27 am #48343AnonymousGuestSerious researchers can tell gaff circles from real crop circles made by the Good Neighbors. And those are like nothing any human agency could make with the current technology available on this planet.
The Divine Order logo is like the bottom of a korendor only clockwise instead of counterclockwise and with a different number of segments.

The descendants of Northern Peoples are groping in universal darkness. Their mother mourns. A dark occasion forebodes a time when weakness in high places will revive a high cost of living and an interval of mistakes in high places, an interval fit for distressing.

I dunno, that sure looks like the Order’s symbol to me. I’d check the surrounding locale for any rabid Lexx fans. Barring that, I’d start being nicer to insects real soon.

There is no character, howsoever good and fine, but it can be destroyed by ridicule, howsoever poor and witless. Observe the ass, for instance: his character is about perfect, he is the choicest spirit among all the humbler animals, yet see what ridicule has brought him to. Instead of feeling
complimented when we are called an ass, we are left in doubt. (Twain)25th August 2001 at 7:40 am #48346AnonymousGuest

First, thank you Cat (Sad and FX, too! ) for ‘sitting the forum for me while I was being a sickly, miserable wretch. Second, holey crap, that is the coolest crop circle I’ve ever seen, dude! Wiltshire, huh? It would be almost worth the trip to see that. Hmmm, think they’d let us have a Lexx meet there? Sit out there on the grass, wait for Stan and the Lexx to come pick us up? (or, blow us up, more likely )

LOL, it reminds of that scene out of Independence Day, there’s all of us looking towards the heavens worshipping the Lexx…and then Stan orders Lexx to blow up the planet!!!
Unfortunately, the circle will be gone soon, as the harvest approaches.
I wonder if The Divine Order symbol is derived from something in our history, or did the beans come up with it on their own??

Annoyed Squishy25th August 2001 at 8:35 am #48348AnonymousGuestCircle update: I asked a friend of mine who lives in the valley of the white horse district if he’s been to the site.
He said he has been to it and that it’s beyond belief, all the circles are perfect and everyone who lives in this area believes that no human could have done this, as it is too complex.
He is also a Lexx fan, and after seeing the aerial footage from the local t.v station he felt he had to see it for himself.
He told me that the resemblance to the Divine Order Logo is uncanny, I asked him if he knew any local people that would do this, he said that the people in his local pub are actually quite intrigued and scared of the symbol, but he hasn’t heard of anyone claiming responsibility for it.
I’ve just seen the pic, and this one does look more like the symbol than the one I saw earlier, but why would both carry the symbol???
I’m sure we all realise that these symbol’s are just coincidental to Lexx, but what I would like to know is if Paul D got this symbol from something else, maybe he can explain it’s meaning.
But I must admit it’s eerie, especially as we are all discussing seeing the Divine Order logo pop up in Lexx S4 so frequently.
Any thoughts?

Annoyed Squishy26th August 2001 at 10:13 am #48349AnonymousGuestMy theories
1; Stan, in a deparate attempt to get laid, is using the Lexx to make them (see the ‘Proof of the existance of the Lexx’ thread). All interested women should camp out on the crop circle.
2; Intellegent aliens want a season 5. Soon they’ll appear over scifi’s corporate headquarters and threaten to blow it up if they don’t continue Lexx thru 2010.
3; It’s sombody’s practical joke. The most likely, least fun scenerio.

*Squish: Lexx is very artistic then, but like usual, even a camp full of women would turn poor ol manly stanley down!!!2; Intellegent aliens want a season 5. Soon they’ll appear over scifi’s corporate headquarters and threaten to blow it up if they don’t continue Lexx thru 2010.

*Squish:That’s a lot of work for a practical joke, and who are they playing the joke on?, at 1500 ft, they must have a very good sense of humour!!!

road trip! welcome back blackie!
26th August 2001 at 11:47 pm #48352AnonymousGuestActually, crop circles are quite easy to make and if you have enough experience you can make elaborate ones in about 9-12 hrs.
The joke is on everyone who claims that Lexxian alians made them.

Nah, I don’t go with the aliens factor either, but this one does nag at your curiousty, the sheer size of it defies your average cropcircle maker. The only possibility being that this was a pre-planned and well thought out event, which the land owner knew of.
