Is there any chance of a bloopers segment on future DVDs? I’ve enjoyed the interview and technical features, but outtakes would be fun.

(BTW, seems my joke yesterday fell rather flat. Oh well, should probably remember never go with my first impulse. That always gets me in trouble. )

Actually, I would like to see all the extras put on one DVD. All the behind the scenes from Season 1,2,3. I hate having to swap DVDs to watch 10 minutes of footage.

The trivia stuff is ok, but seriously, its no match for your average SadGeezer user.

Ah, the most-frequently-asked-question. Outtakes and bloopers. Well, we’ve really, really, REALLY bugged Salter about them, and haven’t been able to get anything together for either S2 or S3. They apparantly just didn’t archive them well, and to find anything would take a tremendous amount of searching on their part (or so they claim ). However, our persistent bugging has paid off with S4, as they’ve said that they’re going the extra mile and saving all of the outtakes and bloopers for the DVDs.

So be patient, and they should arrive.

I heard from Contender, who release the UK Lexx DVDs, that when they asked for a Blooper reel that Salter went crazy and denied one existed and said that if one did it would never see the light of day. Yet many fans who have been to the LexxCons over the years have seen it with their own eyes. Hopefully one day one will see the light of day.

Oh, dear. I think we may have driven Salter over the edge with our persistent asking for bloopers. I know that a tape of outtakes was supposedly handed out at an UnCon, and that the tapes were in some kind of pick-and-choose grab-bag of videocassettes, or at least that’s my understanding. I don’t know if Salter even knew what was in the box o’ tapes. But I have heard that a tape of outtakes exists (and, in fact, I’ve seen some outtakes from the scenes between Kai and Tish, thanks ever so much to an anonymous board member ), but getting them from the official source (inasmuch as S2 or 3 is concerned) is problematic. I *have* been reassured that there will be outtakes from S4, though. Those *should* be available on the S4 DVDs. Hopefully. But don’t quote me on that.

As for putting all of the extras on one DVD, it’s a good idea, but I don’t think it’ll happen. There is only so much I can do, and getting Acorn to release all the extras for all the discs on one DVD far exceeds my reach and influence. Not that I’m condoning any illegal activities (no distribution! for personal use only!), but I don’t think that we have these things copy-protected. You may very well be able to dub all of the making of and Rated:LEXX segments onto one VHS tape. If so, judicious use of the pause button on your DVD player and VCR could produce a nice, flowing composite.

But hey, I’m not *saying* to do it. These instructions are given for entertainment purposes only.

There’s actually a few, I think 2 bloopers on S3V1 of Acorn Medias DVD.

Its at the end of the making of series 3. There’s a blooper with Michael McManus tripping heading into the Moth and one of Stan flubbing a line then cursing.

The one thing Id like to see personally is a “Play All” script. I know AM can do it since its on a few of their other Discs. It’d be a nice addition for those like me that like to flip on Lexx marathons

But they’re the same on all of the S3 DVDs. Don’t get your hopes up. They run under the end credits of all the segments of the “Making of LEXX: Series III” special. I think that they just had these clips handy, as they were shooting the “making of” during production of S3, so they didn’t have to dig deeply for them.

D@mn!!! I knew I kept forgetting something. Man, that’s annoying. I keep bringing this up when it’s inconvenient, and it gets forgotten by the time production starts again. *Sigh*. We’re about to see the initial test disc run-through for S3V3, so it’s too late to make it a feature on the S3 discs (they try and make the discs somewhat consistent, so they won’t add them on the last one in the set, I know). I’ll try and remember this when we get to S4.

    Remind me!!!!
