This is the first time I posted to this board so, first, let me say Hi! to all [img]images/smiles/icon_smile.gif[/img]
I was wondering if the creators of the Lexx dvd’s put in any of those ‘easter egg’ type surprises and if anyone has found any? They are very common in video games and I think they even show up in dvd’s too. Although I can’t think how one would be able to access them?
Also, does anyone know when Canada will get new episodes of Lexx? Prime Ridge should be the next new episode aired on Space but when?

Canada will start airing new episodes Feb 20. You’ll get your new episodes just a few days after the US and UK.

Ain’t no easter eggs on the LEXX discs. I wanted to hide some on there (particularly the V5 one), but never got to. Actually, there isn’t a whole lot we *could* have hidden on there. Pretty much everything we had access to is slapped right there in plain sight. But it was something I wanted to do as a kind of fun feature. *shrug*
I’m not going to weigh in on the trading front. I’m not going to tell someone that if they missed an episode that they’ll have to wait until either Sci-Fi reruns it or it becomes commercially available to see it again, and I’m not going to tell people to have a big copyright-infringing free-for-all. I will say, however, that people traded tapes of the show long before we released the vids, and I don’t think that we’ve been hurt by it. I’m not encouraging it, and am in fact vehemently discouraging it when it comes to commercially-available episodes, but I don’t think that people getting their hands on cut and sub-par presentations of the episodes is worth much hand-wringing, either. Selling them, and making a profit from them, is another matter, and I’m dead-set against it. But when it comes to downloading MPEGs or sending a tape of an episode to a friend, I’m not worried one way or the other. Just don’t bring it up where I have to pay attention to it, and keep buying the vids as they come out, and I’ll remain blissfully ignorant.

No easter eggs eh, oh well. The dvd’s are excellent btw, I have all of them including the controversial S2V5. I didn’t know about any on these legal things. I just saw the dvd available at videoflicks.ca and grabbed it. As for sharing personal copies of Lexx, it’s kind of hard to stop. I personally wouldn’t pay for a ripped off copy, but even after taping all the episodes, I did pay for the higher quality of dvd. It would seem that if people want Lexx, they will pay even when they can just tape the show off the TV. Maybe I am in the minority but I hope not.
