KeymasterHey Flame! During all the speculation over the ending of Season 4 and indeed the ending of Lexx you seem to think that a lot of fans will be dissapointed with the actual ending when we see it/it wont be like anything we have imagined. Do you know something we dont? or are you just hoping we all dont set our sights too high so we wont be dissapointed? or are you a natural pessimist ?

GuestIn a recent interview with Brian Downey he said that the ending is stunning and if the effects guys can pull it off the fans will be blown away!

What do you think it could mean?

GuestJust checked the sci-fi listing and the final episode is only 1 hour (a lot to get through in my opinion).
4.24 “Yo Way Yo”
Prince visits the Lexx to warn that the Earth has a date with destiny. Emotions abound as Kai begins to feel again and the Lexx’s health begins to decline.22nd April 2002 at 1:14 am #52707Anonymous
GuestFrom SciFi.com newsletter;
* SCI FI ONAIR: -LEXX- SERIES FINALE

Friday, April 26, at 10PM ET/PT
———–
Bid adieu and auf wiedersehen to -LEXX- when the series finale airs
Friday. Will Stan, Xev and Kai ever get off the little blue planet?
Watch “Yo Way Yo” and find out. We guarantee — we ABSOLUTELY
GUARANTEE — that the episode climax is nothing you would have ever
predicted or expected! That the thing though isnt it about Lexx. Nothing is as you expect it!

GuestAs a meteorite hobbyist what they did with the asteroid last episode had me roaring, it reminded me of the old BC joke “Clams got legs!” The previews with a giant asteroid colony promise us indeed a spectacular space opera end episode worthy of the masters of the Golden Age of Science Fiction. Lexx is having moments as good as the Skylark of Valeron. Insect versus carniverous plants. I say turn the tables and let the offspring of Lexx and special friend devour the meat eating plants exponentially. I expect Kai to get his full will and ‘life’ so he can opt to be unambiguously heroic in epic fashion. And I thought it terrific that Xev gave Manly Stanley a much deserved hero’s kiss last episode. Things are looking up even as they are looking down.

GuestIt was Flamegrape in the Billiard room with the candlestick! Wasn’t it, Flamegrape! Admit it! Confess!

GuestWell, it was just a random guess. Youve been saying that the ending will be shocking and nothing like anyone has expected then I get an email from SciFi.com saying exactly the same thing.

Headgehog open up the envelope with the three answer cards inside. Nope you were wrong. It was Flamegrape in the Billards rooms, but the murder weapon was the wrench not the candlestick. Sorry.

Even if the ending weren’t that great, do you really think scifi would say that the ending was bad? Of course not! they want to sell the show to the audiance, so they will always say how good a show is, no matter what.

Sorry to disappoint you but I have absolutely no connection to the SciFi Channel.
But if you got an email from SciFi.Com saying that the ending will be nothing like anyone expects, then it must be so. In your “Predictions, Please” thread, I made the cynical prediction that there will be plenty of fans who will be disappointed with the final episodes. There will be rants consisting of, “That was stupid!” or whatever. I believe there will be no culmination of epic plotlines– because there aren’t any. It’s just a fun space-fantasy show. No one should take it seriously.

GuestUmm…can I ask how you reached this conclusion? It’s entirely possible, but a pretty wild accusation.

GuestFair enough, thats your opinion but dont you have faith that the last episode will be something special? I hope so. I have no pre-conceptions that the whole thing will be tied up nicely but I have faith the beans have something suprising and excellent tucked up their sleeves.
