    Anyone in America know of a convertor or a good service for converting PAL to NTSC versions of VHS? Im missing Heaven and Hell so I ordered it from amazon.uk, but unfortunatly its in another format, I assume PAL. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks!!!!

    Your best luck to convert it may be to ask someone in England with a dual-format vcr to do it for you. Or just ask for a US copy (recorded from TV) of it, from someone.

    Thanks HH. I did find a few local services that do it. The price range was surprising. The first few places I called did it for anywhere from 20-55 dollars PER TAPE!!

    A few places I called have an Aiwa so they said they’d do it for 15 per. Thats not too bad, certainly not for a great ep like Heaven and hell [img]images/smiles/icon_smile.gif[/img]

    ….or you could have posted a message here on SadBaord, asking if anyone will dub a copy of any episode for you.

    I’ve taped all episodes of [i]Lexx[/i] and I’m ready to dub premium-quality copies of any episode sans commercials.

    I’ve done this before with at least one other person here at SadBoard.

    I just didn’t want to mention last that part Flamegrape, y’know how some people feel about copying Lexx eps. But then again he did already buy it.

    I know what you mean. However, it almost goes without saying that I (or any other taper) will not trade in episodes that are available in stores.

    Hehe Lexx discrimination!!!

    I took the S3V1 VHS to my local converter where a 90 year old man was working the counter.

    He looks at the tape, looks at the picture of Xev with her hands above her head. Looks at me and claims

    “If what you say is even in here Im not converting it”

    Double take

    “Excuse me?”

    “Its copywrited get out.”

    Yeesh!
