The Movie Hole website has reported that Jamie will be back as Darth for the last five minutes of episode three.
The report says that George Lucas had mentioned, “When Anakin goes bionic — that will be in the last five minutes of episode three — they will hear you.”
When Anakin goes bionic!! Whats that all about?

Well Darth Vader was mostly machine. It is rumored that Anakin becomes Darth Vader when he falls into boiling water or lava, something that burns his legs and arm off, and damages most of his internal organs. His head never submerges so his mind is left intact. Because of this event, The Emperor shuttles him to his homeland and is fitted with bionics.
Vader dies at the end of Return of the Jedi because the lighting that the Emporer uses to attempt to kill Luke, shorts out most of his bionics as he picks him up and throws him to his death. Of course, it is also rumored that the Emporer didnt really die at the end of Jedi.

Not quite, when you saw him fall, you saw an explosion and a burst of energy fly up.
Based on the comics by Dark Horse, the emporer was just a lifeless void of energy, when he dies his essense is just transfered to his home planet where a cloned body waits for him to take on a new master.
The problem with taking on a new body is that it ages faster than the previous one. So at some point the cloned body only lasts 10 years before the emporer needs a new host.
So no, you didnt see him die, you saw his body thrown into a pit, explode and a massive rush of energy fly out.

No, and for one basic reason. The comic books were based on Star Wars EP 4,5,6. So it was basicly the continueing adventures of these characters.
Most liscenses state that you cant go very far from what was mentioned in the book, you cant just make up stuff because and call it Jedi Lore. Lucas staff tells them what they can and cannot write about, or so, thats what ive come to believce.
The closest thing mentioned in the books that is in EP 1 or 2, is the clones. The emporer needs them to taky physical form. Im not sure if its mentioned that the Storm Troopers are clones.
