Searching the Interent the other day I came across a web page called JAPAN INFO CONTRIBUTORS. Im not sure what its all about but it features a certain Paul Donovan. Is this our Bean?

    Paul Donovan
I’m a Canadian hailing from Halifax, Nova Scotia. I now lay claim to Victoria, British Columbia as my home as that’s where my family lives now. I lived and worked in Kitkayushu City in Fukuoka Prefecture as a Junior High School ALT from 1991 to 1994. After I finished my 3 years I moved up to the Osaka area and now work for a small English Conversation School in the heart of earthquake land, Ashiya City. I’m single, so I’ve got lots of time to play with my computer. Anyone wanting any details about: Kyushu, Fukuoka Prefecture, Kitakyushu City, Osaka, Kobe or southern Hyogo Prefecture.

    WTF?

Our Paul Donovan is a Canadian from Halifax, Nova Scotia, but between 1990 and 1994, he
was doing several films, Paint Cans, Live With Billy and Tomcat, and developing the initial concepts of LEXX. Somehow, I don’t think he had time to fit teaching junior high in Japan in there.

Nova Scotia is a fairly traditional place, settled by Scots, Irish and English in the 1700’s and 1800’s. Donovan’s probably a well established name down there, and Paul
isn’t an uncommon surname. I remember a friend telling me that there were three
Robert Peters in his high school class.
