I’m not sure about everything that happened in season 2 because i haven’t seen all those episodes.
However, in the fourth Lexx movie (season 1), Zev managed to obtain a couple of liters before the Cluster blew up.

I have a theory, maybe during his time on during Fire and Water he did become reincarnated like Prince (Prince may never have been alive), Kai doesn’t realise it’s happened, and that the other Kai he saw at the center of Water was in fact himself (the old Kai with a small supply of Protoblood) and the Kai that rose to the surface was Kai, but unknown to him he had been reincarnated with a full supply of Protoblood.
I say this because I never saw an explantion for Kai saying he saw an identical version of himself at Water’s core, so maybe the Kai that fell into the ocean never came back, but this Kai did.
Confusing isn’t it!!!
Squishyattention, squish and hypatia, i tried to reactivate hypatia and annoyed squishy, please let me know via email or new topic under announcements if it worked…thank you…now, for the protoblood issue, for what it’s worth, the protoblood seems to have become a dead topic [img]http://www.sadgeezer.com/ubb/wink.gif[/img] on lexx, possibly because it was cumbersome to work around, at any rate, hasn’t really been mentioned much if at all in season 3…regarding the kai seen by kai in the ocean (did i just write that?!)…i thought in my little tired mind that dead kai,being merely animated flesh with reacquired memories, doesn’t have a soul …his soul went to the holding area when he died, staying there indefinitely either because kai-body is still walking around committing atrocities, or because of misdeeds committed while kai was all together and alive…i guess i am mixing the idea of purgatory into this…anyway, i guess kai-body and kai-soul will be rejoined when he either dies for good, or if somehow, miraculously, dead kai were to become alive again…anyway, that was my take on it…love fx

I don’t know about dead Kai being dead completely, it would seem that Kai has some function related to his former self.
It’s a pity Kai didn’t go into more detail about the soul he saw at the core, if he said he was wearing the garb of the Brunnen G (the multi-coloured version) then we would all say that’s his soul from his past life…but he didn’t so we don’t know really.
It could be that the other Kai was a representation of his past life, but could not be reborn as he is now with emotions and feelings, because he is no longer that person.
But it could have reincarnated Kai in some way, by just giving Kai the same body and lack of feeling, maybe he went to the center and when that happens a new reincarnation is born and sent to the world above.
It could be that the only way that the Water people could bury their dead was to toss them into the water, they sank, they don’t see the new incarnation because they are dead (unlike Kai) and the planet somehow takes the old body and the new person is sent up, so Kai may have been the only person to have seen his other self as he has the benefit of not dying.

Perhaps we will get the answers in the next episode. Hopefully the dead topic will become undead. Better yet the dead guy will become undead. Wishful thinking. Am I the only one? [img]http://www.sadgeezer.com/ubb/wink.gif[/img] I think that Vlad holds the key. Maybe she has figured out a way to minimally sustain herself. Sort of like not being able to expose herself to sunlight, etc., but she can’t leave the little blue planet unless she is infused with a healthy supply of real protoblood. Will she teach Kai the secret? Who would like to be his first victum? Don’t mind me. I’m just thinking out loud. Pure speculation on may part. I realize that I’m probably 100% wrong. It’s fun to think about though, isn’t it?

Later she touches her finger to the shriveled lips of the old bat in the cryopod – who seemed to crave it badly. Was it Kai’s protoblood from the iron maiden spikes? I hope it wasn’t something she got from Stan – gaaack!
– Is Stan the new bug eater (Renfield’s replacement) now? He must be under some sort of mind control? He wouldn’t sell Kai down the river just for sex, would he?
– Those 3 Goth chicks remind me of the 3 Sisters (I watched Buffy’s Dracula episode last night & thought of that). (No question, just blabbering.) Speaking of Buffy’s Dracula – yum! Another dead hottie (Rudolf Martin). Oh gawd! Am I becoming a necropheliac?!
– The shriveled up female in the cryopod said she’s very weak. Is she the same as the blonde cone-head we saw in the preview? If so – I wonder how she gets un-shriveled? oooh!

Yeah, I think it is protoblood.In that parchmment the priest hands Kai in Walpurgis Night there are the 3 women. So I think that the goth chicks procure people for whoever was in the cryopod, probably by drugging them or somthing. Stan wouldn’t normally sell out Kai.

Right, thanks. So do you think Stan is supposed to be their new Renfield? I think the voice in the cryopod said “you’ll have to replace him” when the goths told her Renfield was dead. Then they said “already did it – here’s Stan” or something like that.
