StarGate fan site Gateworld.com has revealed that in the forth coming edition of TV Guide (July 26th), there is a major feature on the series including their first cover. The cover will prominently feature actors Richard Dean Anderson (Colonel Jack O’Neil) and Michael Shanks (Doctor Daniel Jackson), with the tag line “Forget Trek! Stargate SG-1 is now Sci-Fi’s biggest hit!” TV Guide confirms that the Sci-Fi Channel has already green lighted an eighth season for the series which is only a few episodes into its seventh season. TV Guide adds that the Sci-Fi Channel will also be launching a spin-off series tentatively titled “StarGate: Atlantis” with much of the groundwork for the new series being laid in the season seven finally. The StarGate edition of TV Guide should be arriving at newsstands this week.
