KeymasterNow, “Lexx”© is in its fourth season. It has a considerable fan following, and is gaining mainstream popularity with every new episode. When a television series reaches this point in its run, there’s only one thing we can think of-spinoffs.
Me and the other money-grabbing corporate gerbilheads at the Sci-Fi Channel© have used our excellent financial brainpower to devise a number of potentially popular spinoff series, putting characters from your favorite show “Lexx”© into new and entertaining situations. First, we have a great lineup of science fiction shows to entertain you pathetic nerds and draw in more dateless geeks as viewers-
“Tweedle’s 7”
“Khi Factor: Chronicles of the Paranormal”
“The Lexx Files”
“The Lone Poetmen”
“FreakyLexx”
“Fractal Core: S.G.-1”Now, we need to find some new audiences in mind, so we’re also come up with some hilarious and politically correct situation comedies you and more profitable viewers should find entertaining and inoffensive-
“Schlemmeinfeld”
“Everybody Loves Brizon”
“The Real Golleans”
“The Fresh Prince of Fire”
“That’s My Priest”Not to mention a serious drama-
“B3K Five-0”
And, of course, we haven’t forgotten the younger and thus highly profitable viewers. Take a look at our warm, toy-license-producing family/children’s shows-
“Lexx: The Animated Series”
“Pokémantrid”
“Mr. Wozard’s World”
“Leave it to Digby”With creative geniuses like us running the show, you can be sure there will be some great new television next fall.

Oh dear looks like I reproduced you’re post, damn, that must mean you going to get your lawyers on me…bring it on you brainless jerkoff.
So you think the people who watch Lexx are nerds, and what brings you to that assumption?
Don’t come on here with your stupid and childish posts, so get lost idiot.

I think you may be missing the point there, Squish. The person that posted that was taking the point of view of a fictional Sci-Fi Channel network head, and making fun of that mind-set. I don’t think that the poster was seriously saying that all sci-fi fans are nerds and dateless geeks.
On the other hand, though, while the “nerds and dateless geeks” stereotype is just that, a stereotype, there is a *good reason* why hardcore sci-fi fans are lumped into that crowd. Go to any major science fiction convention and look around, and the most visible people in the crowd are inevitably those who think that a convention is a place to show off one’s Klingon Linguistics skills and find acceptance, or where one can find a like-minded person that will share one’s penchant for dressing like the alien race of one’s choice. And let’s not mention the vast number of people matching the description of the “Simpsons” comic clerk. These people may be the minority, but they make themselves visible as all get-out. So blame them.
Now, film geeks, they’re a sexy bunch.

GuestAleck, if that’s the case then I apologise to the person who wrote that, for a moment I thought that our little corner of cyberspace had been infiltrated by a nasty flamer.
It was difficult to decide on whether it was joke or not, as I have seen many people write in this fashion to flame someone, anyway my anger head got the better of me.
The person who wrote it, could have least mentioned that this was in fun, so people would not be mislead on it’s views.

GuestInteresting view on the true ‘geeks’, Aleck.
I went to a Star Trek convention when Generations came out, and all the cast was there, anyway you should have seen the show of sad people on view, it was embarrassing.
There were these poor attempts at Klingons, but some were good, and then you had the fat middle aged folk in their starfleet uniforms, and they looked so stupid!!!
I went with my brother (he’s a big fan and he wore the command suit, I wore tatty jeans and a leather jacket), there was a girl sitting next to me that was dressed as Lieutenant Uhura, and her comstume was in pristine condition…so I sneezed on it, she was a mean looking black woman as well. I was so glad to get out of there afterwards.
These people really added credence to the stereotypical view so many hold of Star Trek fans, if I was one of the cast, I wouldn’t be able to stop laughing!!!

ROTFL! Put me down as highly enthused with “PokeMantrid” for the kiddies and “Fresh Prince of Fire” (Prince proved he’s as jive as that Will Smith guy tonight). I fit your demographic, and look forward to buying many Bowflexes.

I’m glad somebody found my Lexx spinoffs funny. I figured in case everyone found it really lame I’d better post under a pseudonym.
I didn’t expect anyone to think it was serious.

Sorry about that Dalektek, had a bit of a sore head when I wrote the reply and took it to literally, no hard feelings, looking at it now it was extremely funny and well thought out.
In future I won’t look at the board at that time of the morning, I’ll get some sleep before I start reading posts!!!

which head might that be, the little one that does most of the thinking for boys, or the big head which is usually blindly following the little head …or is there another head i am unaware of does yours have a name?
oh and aleck, i agree totally with the scifi geek scenario you painted, but the most famous film geek would be woody allen, and he is too old to be cute anymore, and his sexiness was always debatable…

Well, he’s just an *overtly visible and obvious* film geek. There’s always those genre (horror, sci-fi, HK action and/or euro-sleaze) film geeks like Bridget Fonda, Vin Diesel, Sharon Stone and Samuel L. Jackson that may not be as *overt* in their praises, but are film geeks at heart, and they ain’t too hard on the eyes. Hell, I’d even throw film geek Kevin Smith in that list. Yeah, he’s a lunchbox, but he’s cute. Plus, “film geeks” don’t have the stereotypes laid down on them that “sci-fi geeks” do. It’s hard to picture anyone dressing up like a character from a Lucio Fulci, Dario Argento or Werner Herzog film, but it’s all too easy to imagine somebody dressed up like a Vulcan or Klingon. And I don’t know about you, but that mental image doesn’t do that much for me. Therefore, IMNSHO, film geeks are inherently sexier than sci-fi geeks. With the exception of the Woodman and Tarantino. I’ll give you those.
–Aleck (Currently dressed up like Dante Hicks from Clerks.)

signed, scifi geek fxFX, I have different heads for different times of the day, in the morning it’s the raging bear head, vicious if it doesn’t get fed breakfast.
Then comes lunchtime, and I have the professional lying head on, where I convince those around me that I’m a good worker and not in the least bit insane.
Then comes the relieved head, which appears when I arrive home from work, that tends to be placid and calm, and I can be at peace with the world.
And then finally the mad silly head, which appears late at night, and comes into full force when on this forum, this usually results in endless fits of laughter at reading your reply posts!!!
