Thanks Elmey; you gave me a reason to go; i was really vacillating between whether I really wanted to make the trip. It will be fun to talk to LEXXians and hold my tongue as to remain unbiased and fair.

Mandara K steeples her fingers together and then jumps up and starts pacing the runner of carpet of her offce. letting her gaze fall on the portraits of her predecessors; legendary in the UnCon reporting business. Names such as Del and Frey as well as Camelyn, FX, and Black Cloud make her feel the upcoming task too overwhelming. Her eyes then settle on the large portrait of the Sad man himself in its gilded frame over the mantle; and a slight furrow creases her brow as she notices a space on the wall to her right. Oh, I forgot Storm is having his portrait redone wearing the Giggy apron he won in the raffle.”
She stares intently at the fire burning in the hearth and lifts he eyes to that all familar fresco of The Divine Beans extending their 3 fingers towards a hooded Divine Shadow. ” How can I possibly do this task in the manner it has been done inthe past?”she mutters under her breath.
She then stops midstride; quietly moves to her chair; withdraws a cigarillo from a box ; deftly lights it and leans back. With that faraway expression she often gets when the gears churn in her head; her mouth playd a Mona Lisa smile as the blue smoke dances above her head . ” Yes, she whispered, “but I think I’ll need help.”
Please help with your input; and if anyone is going to Vegas I need reports. I think we should approach Pinhead and ask him to write up a blurb. And we can get started on the “Know Your LEXXians” segment early. You know get some primary players out of the way first; or we can continue that beyond DC. I mean that LEXX,com thread “What Do You Look LIke” is ever popular. I just think it’s better to know a bit about the person behind the mask and not those profiles. Yeah, profiles are okay but they are so cold and impersonal; they don’t ask the “good stuff.”
Moi? perky before noon? I think not. It will be enough to get me to the parade at 10am 😛 I’ll start writing Thursday when I hit town so it can go in on Friday. And, if i don’t show for Saturday’s party then someone can do the work for me. Well, as all reporters are….. we are not always popular with the ” man” or as the case may be “mans” so i will concede the floor to our stars on Saturday so they will feel comfortable imteracting with the masses. So, Elmey my love, Saturday is all you. I will catch up with you later on Saturday night for duct tape watching at the lower bar possibly.
I’ll probably go out on Atlanta Saturday night; but I’ll hook uo with yous on Friday nght, capeche? That’s a good girl! Now go and get me some coffee. 😯 😉 😈

I can post a note to him on lexx.com and ask him to write up his adventures for LEXXian Life. I was going to put up something there anyway regarding the D*C reports, asking for input and volunteers. I’ll try to do it tonight some time unless you have a chance to do it earlier–in which case please do so.

Bebop, and whoever else is interested, let’s come up with some tentative story ideas. We’ll run them by mandara either here on the board or via PM so that she can figure out what will work best for the daily reports. We might even think about doing some longer pieces for the final wrapup after everything is over.
Definitely we’ll all hook up on Friday BEFORE the mixer Madame Editor? …so that you know who’s working for ya. I think this’ll be right up there with the legendary reports of yesteryear!

I’m definitely up for the challenge of writing/typing in daily reports from there; in fact, I’m thinking about re-activating another username on lexx.com & having her be a `roving reporter’; however, for here, I’m definitely up for the challenge. Also, it’ll give another perspective of what’s going on; I may even write about `Star Trek, V’ & others that I’ve been to.mandara k,

Jhevz 😉We will be taking this discussion off line for a while and on to PM as to keep it unbiased and doggone it …..it’s mysterious… and it keeps things spontaneous; nothing like the truth that comes out when people are unprepared.
Elmey, you will need to approah a lexx.com BB persona for a Vegas report; try to pick someone who does not hanker for a “star” overly much or, sorta like me do the other swing to the pendulum, that is, not favorable to them. One extreme or the other… well that colors what they write and we don’t get a full picture of what’s going on. May be Mantrid can write us a blurb; I saw he was going; or Pinhead. Or have whoever wants to try there hand at prose post here. Make sure they can be objective or we will miss parts of what’s going on.
What’s more my baby is that segment “Know Your LEXXians” I have questions made up to kick it off that even I had problems with on the fly. The important question is always why; in this segment i want to know why they like a character; or an ep; I want to see the gear smoke filling a room of LEXXians as they put on their Stan thinking hats and tell us about themselves. Let’s start with Mod’s; heads of the fan clubs like Cat if we can get it; and then mix it with regular posters. we will try to get everyone identified; like the LEXX encyclopedia I heard tell about. So we may have to blow the moth balls off of some LEXXians ( get it) 🙄 they should get some credit for their work no matter if their site is gone or the LEXX they fashioned out of Beer cans has long been returned for another 12 pack. I want to hear it.
I mean who da thunk we’d be still talking about a show 14 months after it ended? With a little elbow grease; and some pulling together LEXXians will not only be known as dysfunctional heretics of the sci-fi universe; but as a merry band of outcasts that thumb their nose at convention because we have the freedom to do that.
The Beans taught us that and like baby hortas we learn well… ( sorry for the Star Trek reference :oops:)So ladies and gents; PM details; reply to this thread if you want to be involved.
And thanks to Elmey, Trini, Bebopbel and Jhevz for their help to this point; And Jhevz your names are fine the way they are; we don’t need to see another one for now but that’s incredible that you have an imagination to think up names like that.

There is room for lots of different reports. The Official Lexx Fan Club could use the fresh content.
As you know, our own HDS wrote up a nice little exclusive piece for Mega Con for the Offical Fan Club site, complete with pictures. I am going to going to twist a few arms to get them a Dragon Con report, but…. I would welcome the chance to get Cat a Lexx Vegas report.
If anyone is going to Lexx Vegas and wants to do one, that would be great. Going with a camera, but not too keen on report writing? Not a problem. Several ways to approach that.
Send a few pictures and a report written as badly as you like…. I have edited theBrothers stuff, yours CANNOT be worse.
Send a few pictures and a few breif paragraphs… We will wing it from there.
Send a few pictures and a description of them (Pic one is Joe fan with Xenia ect…) and I can make arrangements for someone to call you to get the story and then write it up.

You made me very happy; I don’t have to go anywhere now I can leave whatever happens to you guys and if it gets crunch time I don’t even have to show any more! Big sigh of relief!!!! Sure I’ll miss seeing you guys but I got to concentrate on RL for a while. Take all the pics and stories you want I’ll read them and we will see what kind of interest these CONS generate for any other plans in the future.

Thanks for your post & insight; I’m glad you don’t want me to change my name; here I won’t, because I only use Jhevz; I meant on lexx.com, in fact, that’s probably what I should of said. I’ll probably posting on both boards using this name, I’m just trying to make up my mind for lexx.com.

Did I miss something? We need you for LEXXian Life On Line; that’s for us here, it’s your ideas and they work best for Saddy’s.
Since the request for the fan club site was made here, let’s figure out what can be done for them that will complement LEXXian Life not compete with it–and then we’ll see who’s gonna work on it.
There’s not enough time to make special arrangements for the Vegas reports–let’s just hope someone writes up their adventures and posts them. But we have time to get Dragon Con right. I think we should try to start the LEXXian segments–it will whet people’s appetites for the Con Reports.

Okay kiddies this is MY bent on LEXXian LIfe. It is a very open, lose association…. a Labor of Luuuve; for you guys. It’s not neccessarily a place to praise any one person or group of peeps though they will be repped. So I don’t care if your there for Stan, Kai, Xev, Bunny Giggy or Lyekka and yes even the well shaped head 790; as fans YOU are star here! The LEXX cast have their own site; we have Sad’s and LEXX.com but LEXXian LIfe is more for info and for swapping our LEXX war stories.
And here’s one for you! I got the madcap idea for the title from the movie Airplane you know when the nun is reading Boy’s Life and the boy is reading Nun’s Life?
Yeah, sorta like that is my idea; we read about the cast and crew when info is there thus if they have nothing to do on those cold snowy nights up North and the Moosehead runs dry and as their huddled forms quake from cold; by shear force of will in an attempt to keep their numb fingers warm… they can log on and read about us. 🙄 or if they choose… with a laptop on a yacht in Cancun between reeling in marlins or dark-eyed native beauties. 😉

That sounds like a great idea; the Lexx Invasion will soon commense a few weeks from now; I’m so excited, I can’t wait till then. Wow, all of the main Lexx cast will be there, along with Giggy, Bunny & Lyekka; how cool is that; 8) . I can’t wait till that time comes & meet every one of them, including some Lexx fans that weren’t there last yr.

Jhevz 😉I’m pretty handy with a camera. Nothing over the top mind you, but I rarely use a flash and can get some interesting up close and sneaky shots. It makes my sister crazy, she hates having her pic taken. I also have a decent digital.

ALLRIGHT! You are now the “Inquiring Photographer” 😀 (or at least part of the team)
Bring the digital–we now have a host site and the means to upload pics from D*C.Mandara and I have been batting ideas for some segments around–“Inquiring Photographer” being one of them. Everyone’s who’s volunteered so far, I’m going to send you info on what we’ve come up with over the next few days–just haven’t had time yet. And if you guys have other/better ideas, they’re more than welcome. This isn’t like work, we want you to have fun! 😉
