KeymasterIn this week’s National Inquirer on page 22 is a picture of an adorable baby boy, 1 year old, whose name happens to be: Kai Eva!!
Can you believe it?? The parents must be Lexxians!! They must like Zev better than Xev, right, or he would be Kai Xenia….
Anyway, just thought I’d mention it..

Interestingly, I was going to post a similar story today. Jennifer Connelly (star of sci-fi and fantasy-related films Phenomena, Labyrinth and The Rocketeer), who won the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award last night for her work in A Beautiful Mind has a son named Kai.

I’d sneek out to the registry office or a deed poll office (or whatever the US version might be) and change his middle name, he wouldn’t even know…teehee.
If he’s not old enough to vote, then you are still in control, do it while you still have time, at first he may hate you for it (maybe burn your wardrobe, do unspeakable acts on the cat, resort to drugs…hold on, he’ll probably do all of those anyway!!!), but later in life he’ll drop the first name to use Kai, and will build a statue in the honour of the greatest mother ever to walk the planet…at least I would if I were in his shoes!!!
Besides, teenagers are stupid, their hormones are racing like around like formula 1 cars, they don’t know if their coming or going, and you can always say later on that the drugs and boozy nights he had were to blame, and you weren’t responsible, in fact you were the voice of reason, you tried to stop him!!!
Short passage taken from 790’s book ‘How to get people to do what you want, even if you’re a psychotic robot head’
Do it, you know you want too!!!

GuestSquishy, what a great idea!!! He’s not of age yet, I still have time to change his name..and you are right, he will thank me later…. After all, he does owe me, when he was little, any food left over, was his, and did’nt I let him go to the mission at Christmas to beg for toys???? And he had almost all of his vacinations!!! And anytime we moved I always gave him the forwarding address!! He’s an ungrateful trollop and if I say his name is now Kai, it shall be Kai!!! Thank’s for the idea, Squishy!! Glad to be of service.
Kids today get everything they want from parents, i.e clothing, food and shelter, they sometimes forget how well off they are!!!
Some parents even go so far as to buy them other things, like toothbrushes and soap, and in the more extreme circumstances they get toys to entertain them…which I personally find obscene.
They get all this for nothing, and most never pay back all the money you have spent on them, so changing their name is only a little thing to ask in return.
Besides, you could say you were going to do this at their birth, but you got distracted and forgot due to the pain of giving birth, so what difference does it make if you have left it for a few years, then or now…it shouldn’t make any difference!!!
They wouldn’t have been so stubborn if you had done it when they were 3, so look at it that way, they can’t win as you hold all the cards…being Mom makes you all powerful.
Lap it up girl, you have the power, you should use it while it lasts, and when the time comes that allows them to choose, you should have another, so you can do it all over again!!!
