I saw an add on the US Sci fi channel about a new Dr. Who series or movie. Does anyone know anyting about it? Is it from the UK? Has anyone seen it?

I do believe they’re showing the 1996 TV movie, with Paul McGann as the Doctor.

There’s been talk of a new Doctor Who theatrical movie or series since at least 1998. Nothing’s ever materialized.

The last I heard was in 1999 Artisan reportedly bought the rights to Doctor Who from the B.B.C. and the Daleks from the Nation estate, but to my knowledge nothing’s been done. We all want to see more Who, but for some reason it isn’t happening.
