When I first heard the new season would be set on Earth I was disappointed. LBP surprised me. I LOVED it!! It reminded me of S2 w/it’s dark sense of humor/drama. Texx Lexx was (IMHO) even better! (I’m trying not to give anything away!!) There is much to look forward to…the beans have a twisted vision and I can’t wait to see what is in store for Xev, Kai and Stan (and the b*tchy 790!!).

I initially disliked the concept of [i]Lexx[/i] on Earth (partually because it would make the show increasingly similar to a sci-fi novel I’m writing, which I actually started before I knew what [i]Lexx[/i] was but somehow seems like a ripoff), but it turned out to be good, despite the lingering presence of last season’s overused and underwritten villain.

I think the whole concept of Lexx resulted in Earth being involved, what I mean is that Paul may have had the idea of Earth being included right from the beginning, it was integral to the whole of the Lexx plotline.
See my post on Prince being ultimately responsible for HDS to make more sense of it.
I think many of us would have preferred Lexx avoiding Earth, because of the amount of Sci-fi series being based around Earth.
But Paul seems to be having a thought provoking poke at our idea of creation, and it’s genius, within weeks you will all probably be saying ‘Yes, now I see it, it all makes sense’…clever guy that Mr Donovan.——————
