KeymasterOkay, after being asked this a multitude of times, and not being able to say anything concrete, here’s the skinny…
LEXX Season 3 will be released in the US on VHS and DVD next year. The final S2 release will be out on January 29, which sets the pattern of a new DVD/VHS set on the last Tuesday of every alternate month (dates, of course, are always subject to change at any time). This means that you can hopefully look forward to the first S3 videos on March 26. The plan is (and, keep in mind, these things are still in the planning stages and are subject to change), because the number of episodes is so screwy, to have 4 episodes on the first release and 3 episodes on subsequent ones. Because of the lower number of episodes per package, the price of all Season 3 sets (including the first) will be reduced to $24.95 (MSRP).
(To get this out of the way, it was brought up in chat about whether or not 5 episodes could fit on one disc. The answer is possibly, but there would be little to no room for supplements, possibly even menus. On top of that, the bit rate compression needed to squeeze that much stuff on a disc would severely affect the quality of the image. The easiest way, then, to get around the wacky number of eps *and* provide extras was to go 4-3-3-3.)
No word on what supplements are going to be featured, but the fine folks at Salter and Salter Digital (now under the Alliance Atlantis aegis) will be working closely with us as always, and we’ve got our fingers crossed for some great stuff.More news as it develops, film at 11, your mileage may vary, and Keep Watching the Skies!
Feel free to pass the word along to anyone out there in the online (and offline) LEXX community that might be interested. As for me, I’m not setting foot outside the SadBoard. Well, at least until I see questions being asked elsewhere.

GuestHey Aleck, I see on Acorn’s website that Season 2 Volume 4 is available now. IS THAT TRUE? It was originally supposed to come out October 2nd. I called Suncoast where I live (they had S2V3 on the street date) and it wasn’t even in their computer yet. I just checked amazon.com and it’s still listed for October 2nd. Does this mean you guys can ship out items before the street date or did the street date change?
