Prince on Earth and Fire at the same time?

I read this post on the Lexx ng, and wondered if anyone else thought this was the case…personally I can’t see it (but then I’m not privvy to what’s happening in Lexx at the moment).
It read:
He did not just arrive on Earth a day before the Lexx got over there from
Fire and Water’s destruction.
He was there all along, even while he was on Fire…on the planet Fire: Not
“on fire”.
Prince installed the previous (card reading) President and simply installed
Priest as his
replacement. Priest had never heard of Dallas or JFK, not because he had
really been lost in the jungle for 30 years, but because he just arrived on
Earth from Fire. Unlike Prince, who was on both places at the same time.Sorry but I haven’t heard of anything that would suggest that there were two Prince’s, one on Fire and one on Earth, as I thought Prince moved to earth with the rest of the souls.

SquishyYou are correct, Squishy. This person is jumping to their own conclusions. There is lot left to be Xplained but at no time was it stated on the program that Prince was in both places at once. The impression the show leaves you is that this planet is new to Prince, but clearly there has to have been some elasped time.

I know that DalekTek expresses the fact that this is his own line of thinking, but he does it at the end of the post, he should state it at the beginning, as most read the post and are left too irate to read the explanation at the bottom.

Squishyi think i have figured out the tiem problem with price. the Lexx is low on food and was low on food after it blew up fire and water. it would have taken it a long time to reach earth soooo zev and stan went in to the cyrochmber and simply waited to get there. price on the other hand arrived almost immediately after fire was destroyed. that would give him plenty of time to prepare for the lexx’s eventual arrival at earth.

Well at the end of season 3, it seemed that Earth wasn’t that far away (just the other side of the sun), but you could be right, only I don’t remember Stan or Xev entering stasis.
DalekTek came up with the premise that 14 billion years would have too pass since the beginning of life on earth, while I think Mankind has been around far less than that, even so I don’t think the cryo chambers could sustain Xev and Stan for that length of time (mind you they did go 4000 years in stasis, so I suppose it’s possible).
At the moment your explanation seems to be the only reasonable one, unless time just passed very quickly on the Lexx, a day on the Lexx was millions of years on earth.
Somebody said on this board that Lexx only took a day to arrive, they may have been wrong.

SquishyJust becasue earth looked close dosen’t mean the Lexx could get hteir fast. i eman it takes our astronauts weeks to get to the moon and years to get to mars. if the Lexx was low on food then it would have to travel slowly possibly slower then our spaceships.
We know the Lexx can only move slowly at the end of series 3, but this is slowly for an insect that used to travel between stars in a seemingly short space of time (not that this was ever explained, all we know is that the Lexx has a particle drive)
Even if Lexx was travelling slower than say the space shuttle, it still wouldn’t have taken the entire length of human civilization up to the 21st century to reach Earth. I imagine if Lexx was going at the slowest speed possible, that 200 years would be the rough length of time for it to travel across our solar system.
And in that time it probably would have encountered asteroids and meteorites to snack on (some have been known to contain life), it may have got lucky and had the odd comet or two.

SquishyPrince is going to end up back on Fire in the next cycle of time anyway, but one can assume that he has, like the planets, now been replaced in his position on the twin planets – people are still quite clearly dying, suggesting that the natural order of things has selected two planets (or just brought back the existing ones) to function as the new Fire and Water. Whether Prince will be obligated to resume his duties or whether he really has been “freed” as he claims remains to be seen…
Still, it would seem that it did take the Lexx a fair few days to get to Earth, although I can’t imagine would take more than a couple of weeks. Enough time for Prince to set up Priest as president if there was an election on, though…
Ah, I think I know what you’re saying Chris, if time had begun again then Fire and Water would have to be brought into existence again.
It could be that they were two separate planets, but were brought into contact by a cataclysmic event, or that at the beginning of time was the only time they had existed, as after being blown up they would not appear again until the next cycle.

SquishyWell, let’s assume for a moment that there’s some sort of master plan regulating each cycle of time. This is evidenced by the two stars having waited specifically for Kai in Supernova, and that Fire and Water – our heaven and hell – also take in stragglers from the Light Universe when it’s destroyed. (We don’t know if Mantrid perhaps destroyed the Light Universe version, or if there’s a Fire and Water for every species, but…)
Prince does mention that Fire and Water never used to be so crowded, and yet when it became necessary to “queue” (the cause of which, I’m guessing, was the influx of essences from the Light Universe) something was altered to easily allow this to be the case. Every fibre in Prince’s being makes him want to destroy Water but he knows, and is aware, that there is a balance that has to be conformed to.
So, when the Lexx has destroyed Fire and Water, I think it’s entirely possible that whatever Supreme Bean set them up in the first place (along with making the Brunnis Sun wait around for Kai) would, after a sufficient delay, bring them back again. The dead people of Earth (and, possibly, other planets) have got to go somewhere, after all. Of course, there’s no saying that Prince has to be forced back into servitude – there might very well be a new ruler estalbishing his/herself on Fire as we speak…

As I recall in the last episode of Series 3 Prince was talking to both Xev and Kai in different places at the same time, and Prince had said to Kai that he could exist in more than one place at once. Although when Fire was destroyed Prince thanked the Lexx crew for releasing him. My theory is that maybe someone on earth in a high place in the government, looked quite a lot like Prince, so Prince reincarnated himself as that guy and then killed him and took his place. Prince is always cool at doing sneaky things though.
