Which came first, Brigadoom, or Xena’s Bitter Suite? I’m trying to figure out who started the trend toward having a musical episode. The reason I’m asking is that Buffy the Vampire Layer is having one tonight, and it seems that’s become all the rage.

As far as airdates, Xena’s “Bitter Suite” was aired in January of ’98. “Brigadoom”‘s earliest airing (that I can find record of) was in September of ’99. I don’t know when production was on either episode, but I’d think that Xena beat LEXX to the punch on that one.
