I really sympathize with the Lexx situation, over here in the UK it’s even worse.
The stations who show it (Channel 5 and Sci-fi) treat it as gapfill in their schedules, they both screen Lexx very late at night.
Hardly anybody watches Channel 5 and Sci-fi over here is treated like a novelty channel.
Unfortunately, in this retarded country, the main T.V companies have subjected the British public to the same tiresome crap for the last 30 years.
None of them have any vision, and show television to suit the old folk, Lexx is really being given a bum deal in the U.K.
I know Lexx is big worldwide, but it is still being regarded as cult T.V, which usually means that only a select view watch it…it really needs to break that mould.
Squishy.

This has been getting on my nerves lately as well. Not only do have to avoid the series 4 spoilers on this page like the plague, but I can’t even see a full series on the one channel. Sky one also showed the first series (up to “Giga-shadow”) at either midnight or half past. That was for four nights, then nothing! One night this week I saw “Tunnels” on Channel 5 to see “Heaven and Hell” on Sci-fi the next night! And the night after that, nothing! I have sky digital, so the only way I actually knew they were on was by looking at the electronic t.v guide. Re-runs are never advertised and, as Squish said, are used as gapfills at strange times in obscure channels! I’m sure that when Lexx first arrived here, it was shown on channel 4. Of course this was before Channel 5 came about and this shows the low standing Lexx has in general.
In short, if I’m not getting to see the new season while others are, I at least want to see all the previous episodes, in order, to give me something to chew on while waiting for season 4 to arrive here! Anyway, as you can tell, this has been annoying me lately, so I thank you, Squish, for giving me an opportunity to let out my stress.
Oh, and on the subject of Lexx being regarded as cult, the guy voiced in at the end of the channel 5 showing said something like “Lexx will be back, unashamed as ever…” What does that mean?! This attitude seemed to put Lexx across as something else channel 5 puts on late at night, if you drift my catch. Sci-fi shows more respect to Lexx, but lately I either want to see adverts for the next series or previous series in their entirety.
Basically, I don’t have the video’s or DVD’s of Lexx at home. I like the overall story of season 3. So why can’t a channel show it from start to finish?
Jeez, this is a longwinded post. But the topic raised by Squish has been bothering me lately due to the lack of a season 4 over here, so I have to agree with him. At length. -
