Ooooh, you gonna get the off topic brigade after you!!!
That game is Independance War 2: Edge of Chaos, very good game and beautiful to play, especially if you happen to have a certain GeForce 3 card…but absolutely got bugger all to do with Lexx!!!

28th September 2001 at 3:40 am #49033FlamegrapeParticipantI’m working on my own space flight simulator. It’s based on the Eagle from Space:1999. (Quaternion rotations were a headache!) Visit http://www.space1999.net/videogames/ for more details about my game(s).
Can we get any more off topic?

Big fan of Space 1999.28th September 2001 at 5:53 am #49035AnonymousGuestAll I can say is.. *WOW*.. and when the hell are they releasing it!
28th September 2001 at 8:21 am #49036AnonymousGuestYou like Lonegunman?, as far as Squishy knows it’s been put back…again, it was originally set for Oct 30th, but now it’s disappeared from the release date lists on Electronics Boutique and GameSpot, what worries me is that they have shelved it, as I requested updates through a newsletter, and then never got one.
I don’t think they’ve shelved it though, as they had come so far with it, and they posted new pics last weekend.
Awesome though isn’t it, by the same people who made X-Wing and other Star Wars games.
Have you seen all the pics???Squishy

I can only hope this one goes one step further!I think the reason they’ve put it on hold is because it would be in direct competition with Dominion Wars, plus they’d cash in on it more to co-incide with the airing of Enterprise.
One game that really caught my attention when it was released was Homeworld, and it’s subsequent follow up: Cataclysm. The final elvels made for some epic space-battles, and the visuals were excellent to-boot. Hopefully Bridge Commander might be something like that.. if not, a trek-style Homeworld game might be a good idea for the future. Pity is I don’t really see a Lexx game getting made, but for a game to capture the essence of yer favourite show, what should it contain and what would you like to see?

I bought Dominion Wars, and it’s absolute crap, looked nice, but when I got it home, I was very disappointed, it doesn’t hold a candle to Bridge Commander.
I don’t think it’s been delayed because of Enterprise, as the show has begun airing in the states, and they would more than likely want to capatilise on the US release rather than the UK.
I think the detail in STBC takes spce sims to the next level, the only gripe I have with it are the viewer screen character’s, they look too cartoony.
What would make a good Lexx game?, well, most games need to get your adrenalin pumping, so I think something like Lexx flying in to save the day, like in Gigashadow (ok so Lexx didn’t fare too well against Gigashdow, but it was cool when Stan and Lexx came from nowhere to blast ol giggy!!!), a lot of Kai using his brace, Zev/Xev using her cluster lizard skills to good effect, no idea what you would do with Stan the man, possibly a level where he has to escape the sub-nebulae mercenaries.Squishy
