KeymasterI was over on Sci Fi’s calender checking to see if they were planning on skipping any more weeks like this one down the road. I scanned through to the last week in September and it wasent on. They didnt have a link for October but their html isnt inventive either. So looking at their October calender was disheartening. They are moving their schedule around on Friday nights to show The Chronical at 7pm and Invisible Man at 8 then a Movie at 9.
Lexx however is still listed on Monday morning at 2am. So unless this is just a rough draft of the schedule Lexx is getting the Sci Fi treament. At least they didnt cancel it. Hope this info proves wrong
Starting October
Typical Sunday/Monday schedule: http://www.scifi.com/bin/schedulebot.cgi?db=US%3AETPT&ds=1&mon=10.01&wd=d&s=21Typical Friday: http://www.scifi.com/bin/schedulebot.cgi?db=US%3AETPT&ds=1&mon=10.01&wd=d&s=19
If you want to check more dates the last number in the html represents the day of the month and the previous number to that; currently(10.01) stands for month/year
Im *hoping* this will change though.

hi lexxlurker, a few months ago, lexx’s new time was going to be saturdays at 10 pm…then as the premiere of s4 drew nigh, they went back to the old friday at 10 time slot, right after farscape…so who knows when we’ll be watching lexx when the new episodes come out…which brings us to the next depressing point…salter did not even start filming s4 until about february of this year, and they went on summer hiatus in july…they are still, reportedly , not due back until september…and they take a christmas holiday as well…so it may not be entirely scifi’s fault, there may not be that many episodes finished…after all, we have already seen 7; vlad will make 8…and each eppy must take at leasta week to film right? that’s my take on the math anyway…anybody else have any info?

This bad news does not suprise me even in the slightest. In fact, I’ve had the cynical attitude of wondering when the SciFi Channel was going to move Lexx to an obscure time slot. Also, I expect them to never repeat any of these episodes ever again. This is why I’m taping the show.

I have some info. During my search to find out the type/brand of eyeglasses frames that Tina (the nerd goddess) wore on the show, I emailed Salter Street Films. I received a reply telling me that the costume designer was on “summer hiatus” (sic) and that my question would be passed along when she returns.

GuestWell actually FX that might be good news
Then perhaps they are just splitting the season which has been done with shows in the past.
Typically they will do first-runs for 10 weeks then have a 5-8 week of re-runs then run the 2nd half of the season. Hopefully this is the case, especially since their costume designer was on vacation.
An episode of Lexx would probably take at least a week of production and shooting if not more. Post production may even take longer. CGI can be very time consuming, so it wouldent surprise me if all-tolled an episode of Lexx takes about 2-3 weeks to make.
It’d be a good question if Saddy interviews any Lexx creators/writers.
