After seeing Louis Savy’s news post I checked out the site and was amazed at how much good stuff there was there! This event in February will be fantastic!
Should we help out? After the success of SadGeezers organising stuff for DragonCon this year, maybe we could look at ways we could support this event on SadGeezer.com.
Maybe we could get some of you peeps with access to the stars to see if they would be interested in coming to the event. Maybe we should orgainise a SadGeezer table and organise our own social stuff as happened so well at DragonCon.
this side of the pond has suffered grately over the last couple of years with hardly ANY decent sci fi events (certainly not cult stuff). I’m really excited about this one and will certainly be attending with Newkate. I’d love to see some of you guys there. How about it!
I’ve emailed Louis to see if we can help. Any ideas?

I would wonder what the various venues were like. Since it takes place in two (?) cinemas the only places available for stuff like that would be the lobbies. I saw something about having gaming in one of the lobbies… but I did not see who to contact about other stuff. Do they even have information tables set up?
30th November 2003 at 11:27 am #69258AnonymousGuestI think that the organisation is still in ‘the works’. By Frey, you can guarantee that this wont be anything like the scale of DragonCon.
As soon as I here back from Louis I’ll post here (or maybe she will).

4th December 2003 at 4:18 pm #69313AnonymousGuestI spoke to Louis on the telephone a couple of days ago (he was headed out to a junket in Prague, lucky devil), he was very interested in the Kin Dza Dza comment (ie. he’d never heard of it! – wadda pain in the neck that is! Kin Dza Dza is the most famous cult Sci Fi Film that nobody has ever heard of!).
I told him that sadgeezer.com would like to promote and possibly even sponsor the event and that we should talk further on it. Hopefully we’ll chat more on Friday.
I agree thfrey, but for a small event, they certainly have a lot of good stuff!
