KeymasterI don’t read about much stuff on the net about LEXX, but can someone tell me what are the chances of there being a Series 5?

I can say without a doubt that there will be a 5th season of Lexx…
…when monkeys fly out of my butt.
Snowball’s chance in Hades, might be more descriptive?
Ah, how ’bout this: when the SciFi Channel GETS A CLUE!

ParticipantActually, Season 4 is more like a season and a half worth of eps.
Hummm Lexx as we know it? I doubt it very much. I think this be the end.

About the same as Farscape winning an Emmy.

If you listen to DalekTek790 you may get your hopes up. Not that Farscrape would deserve it, however he forgets that The MatriX beat out Star Wars Episode One for visual effects and that year Titanic won “Best Picture”. Sadly, the majority of Americans have no taste, or it’s very sorely misrepresented.. *cough.. Neilson’s *cough…

GuestHeh… on that note, this year HAIRY POTHEAD, er, sorry, HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE won the Hugo Award for best science fiction novel!

Oh GOD, you’re telling me nothing new. The vast majority of “entertainment” in the U.S. of A. is mindless dreck.
However, there are a few exceptions. There’s that ever-present dark spectre called “political correctness” that is slowly being exorcised. Sex-fearing puritanical values are fading away which is a GOOD thing (education is better than ignorance).
But as it stands now, my favorite singer is Icelandic (Bjork), my favorite group is British (Curve), my favorite directors are Russian and Japanese (Andrei Tarkovsky and Akira Kurasawa), my favorite sitcoms are British (Monty Python, Young Ones, Absolutely Fabulous), my favorite cartoonists went to school in Canada (just about any popular non-anime cartoonist went to school at Sheridan), the list goes on and on…

And, I for one, can’t wait!! I saw the ad last night about the new episodes and I thought I heard it wrong. But Mr. NB1 said ” yes, they did say New Episodes”…. ah, the divine Patsy, the unsinkable Eddie, and the fabbo Saffie!!!!

GuestOMG, I just thought of this, what if Eddie and Patsy somehow landed on the Lexx….Can you imagine the chaos?? What a great ep that would be!!!! Maybe Patsy and Stanley could get together and surely Eddie would be the only one able to get a reaction from Kai – he would pull his bun out!!! (The top one)
LOL, that would be a dream episode!!! 21st October 2001 at 1:33 am #49675Flamegrape

Sounds like a prime candidate for some good fan fiction!

GuestWell, I think having ABFAB on the Lexx would be the cheapest thing since the appearance of the Moth Breeders!

GuestHence its appeal to the show, and I think Patsy would be the one to try to nail Kai, she’s always got the hots for those rock-star type guys…

Chances of a Lexx Season 5 about 1%,
Chances of a Lexx Spinoff about 80%.21st October 2001 at 9:33 am #49678DalekTek790
ParticipantPatsy, isn’t that what it says on that kid’s shirt in Texx Lexx?

Yes, that’s right. Sex-fearing Puritanical values disappearing is bad…I know it’s keeping *me* up at night. Oh, that’s right, I don’t buy into those values…it must be my guilt at violating these Puritanical values that keeps me up…
So you agree that Puritanical values emphasize a fear of sex, DT? And you’ve said before that the roots of your philosophical stance is, in fact, Puritanical. So, are you then saying that you fear sex? That’s interesting. Especially in light of the dreams you’ve posted. And the success rate you’ve acknowledged you’ve had with members of the opposite sex…Very interesting indeed.

GuestDT, yes in fact the geek’s shirt DID say “Patsy” on it, unfortunately, it wasn’t an ABFAB shirt, since I own all of them, and they usually have a pic of Patsy holding a bottle of Stoli on them or saying something like, “sweetie darling” on it…

I would accept this statement as an axiom.
DT, if you have Puritanical values, how can it be that you are a fan of Lexx? It seems to be a contradiction. I somehow doubt that your values are entirely Puritanical as Aleck said above.
