Ok I’ve never bashed B5 but never saw what was so great about it. After Sci-Fi pimped “Legends of the Rangers” for months I had to tune in and see if it lived up.
While I didnt like the main char, the story was fantastic and quite epic. Hearing about an ancient precursor race thats called the Hand of God stirred my interest.
So Ive been watching the final season of B5. And Im left with so many questions between the end of B5 the series and Legends of the Rangers.
First off, what happens to Londo? Remember I saw Rangers first so I could’ve missed it. B5 ends with Londo appearing to be a puppet of one of those alien thingies. And what happens to the Centauri?
Thats my main questions. Other than that its really quite a good show. I was really surprised by Walter Koeing as a bad guy. He did an excellent job. The other guy looks a lil too much like Fabio but a great rally around type leader.
Thanks!

.Londo Mollari becomes emperor after employing the Shadows (without knowing until it was too late to back out) to bring the Centauri Republic to its former greatness. He regrets his decision, and removes all Shadow influence from Centauri Prime so the Vorlons would not destroy it. When he saw that they were still going to blow up Centauri prime because he was touched by the Shadows, he asked his cousin Vir Kotto to kill him. For this act of selflessness, the Vorlons allowed him and his people to live.
But there was no happy ending. As emperor, the Drakh, a satellite race of the Shadows possessing their technology, installed a parasite called a Keeper in him to control him. 20-some years later, he was able to temporarily subdue his Keeper, and had his “old friend’ G’Kar kill him, to eliminate its evil influence on Centauri. G’Kar obliged, but as he was strangling the life out of Londo, the Keeper came back to life, and strangled G’Kar. All three died simeltaneously. After Londo died, Vir became emperor, and brought a new golden age of peace and prosperity to the Centauri Republic.

I assumed that Legends of the Rangers was the most current, and I coulda sworn I saw G’Kar in it. Maybe it would be better to point me to a timeline, or a good history page, I have a lot of questions now Thanks again Dalek.

Vir isn’t related to Londo. Even though he thinks of him as a son (toward the end). Earlier Londo saw a younger versionof himself, before he was corrupted by primp and politics.
The Vorlons didn’t care about his act of selflessness, they would have destroyed Centari anyway, except at the same time Sheridan Army of Light destoryed their other planet killer, not too mention the shadows and other first ones they had to deal with.

Lexxlurker LOTR is a pilot for a new series in the B5 universe. like Crusade was. *sigh* i am still upset that Crusade didn’t go any further that the 13 eps. and yes that was G’Kar in the movie/pilot. he had some great lines. very funny LOL if you check the forum directly underneath this B5 forum you will find more info about “The Legend of the Rangers”. one of those threads has a very good timeline in it. if i have a little bit of time later i will find it and post a link here. unless Headgehog beats me to it. and like Headgehog says, please check the ep guide here on this site. 1st March 2002 at 3:14 am #58312AnonymousGuestI’ve gone through the ep guide on this site a bunch of times, it is only complete in last series which I’ve seen all the eps in now except the final one which takes place a decade later or something like that.
I guess what might be confusing me is that the series is out of order or something? Im assuming that if G’Kar was alive in LoTR which happens years after the final season that there must of been movies/series that take place even after that?
Ill look for the timeline tho in the other forum, it should clear up my questions. Thanks.

What would’ve been so hard about saying “Look up Crusade?”?
Saddy does *not* have any info on it in the eps reviews, so I woulda spent another few hours fruitlessly looking for that info.
After reading this it makes a lot more sense. Crusade took place *after* LoTR, which as a b5 newb is quite confusing that they wouldent move linear throughout the season.
Now I gotta find some of those Crusade eps and watch em Maybe the “Hand of God” are in those eps too.
1st March 2002 at 4:29 am #58314HeadgehogParticipantLotR takes palce 4 years after Objects at Rest. Crusade another year after that. There’s no references to the Hand in Crusade.
A good chronology can be found here: http://www.visi.com/~wildfoto/episodes.htmlSleeping in Light was more of an epilogue as opposed to a Season 5 episode. It took place a little over 18 years after Objects at Rest. Londo and G’Kar killed each other two years before that.
