I was perusing the Dr. Demento site and came across this link for a song contest by VH1 or sponsered by them or something. You can enter your song (for a modest fee of course) and each month they pick a winner, and then those people are the selection pool for the Song of the Year. Which has some cash prizes and so on.
http://www.songoftheyear.com/songwriter/faq.htmOne of the things that I did think was neat was they had a Song critiques option. That would be great if it was honest. Of course if it is just work on your into and then submitt it for the full fee, then that would suck. 😛
I don’t write songs or anything, I just thought this was interesting. I wonder how many people participate?
