Ominous… a ring of smoke, lightning, Gandalf’s doing would be my guess — he loved to blow tremendous smoke rings from his pipe.
That’s an interesting effect, I’ve seen cloudy nimbi in the sky before, but they were cumuli rather than smoke.
“I saw the lightning strike out the side of my eye…” (Yanas). Ouch! 😯
