Hi,
I would like to introduce you to SCI-FI-LONDON, the first serious science fiction film festival in Britain. We have a packed programme of classic, rare and new features films including THX 1138, Soylent Green, Stalker and Tron. We also have the World Premiere of Ken Russell’s new feature “The Fall of the Louse of Usher” and the European premiere of Mark Pellington’s “The Mothman Prophecies”
Along with the sci-fi films , we also host The Douglas Adams Memorial Debate. Each year we will hold a debate on sci-fi and sci-fact. This first year the topic is Film VS literature. Our panel ask “is the book always better than the movie?”
The line-up is fantastic for the panel with Doug Naylor (Red Dwarf), Anne Gay (fantasy author), Jim Swallow (ST:Voyager, Enterprise), Brian Johnson (SFX on Alien, Aliens, Empire Strikes Back, Dragonslayer) and Kim Newman (Dr Shade, critic and writer).
Chaired by Andy Sawyer (Course Leader, MA in science fiction, University of Liverpool) the evening should prove to be provactive and
lively with audience participation encouraged. There will be a surprise movie screening following the debate.I would be grateful if you could post information and a link to our website http://www.sci-fi-london.com/scifact.htm to your users.
If you need any further information please contact me.
Many thanks
