Finally, a sci fi film for grown ups!

About a guy who is packing up his job and friends after 10 years and heading out.  His firends come to see him off and ask, why he would leave a good job with good friends?

In the next couple of hours they learn a lot more about John Oldman that they bargained for!

No special effects, no big stars, no big budget.  Just a well acted interesting sci fi story.

Think I remember reading about this. He is a bit old or older than what they think he is. I have been wanting to see this but forgot the name of the film.

Just watch the "Requiem for Methuselah" (Episode 76, Season 3 of original STAR TREK) – . The screenplay for this movie was conceived in this episode by Jerome Bixby.

But then I checked out Bixby on Wikipedia and dude was great! I didn’t realise that the guy was so accomplished as a sci fi writer (even though his sci fi output was relatively small).

The Man from Earth was his last work! Shame.
