I was pointed to SadGeezer by someone who said someone here own’s one of the prince outfits. I am trying to put one together for DragonCon this year. I am trying to find out where to purchase the different parts and which were hand made. Thanks for any information you may have!
I have his blue costume from the beach episode. How can I help?

Great! So the beach outfit to me looked very similar just different colors. I guess I am wondering if there are any brand names in any of the components of the costume, like where to get those boots. The first two things I wanted to check on was the jacket and the boots. Are they custom made? Are the base parts something I can buy?
And again, thanks a bunch! I decided to do this last minute so I am hurrying trying to figure everything out.

The jacket is like a trench with midevil cord in spots. You can pick up a pattern at any Joann’s for them and add them to a trech.The shirt is a renfest type of prince shirt, you can pick one up at any online shop or at the mall (hot topics) here’s a pick:

I didnt know you wanted to be Prince 😉 I had the info on the Prince costume for sometime but had no one that wanted to dress as him. It’s a easy costume to put together ( for me anyways). I still love to do a Giggy for you Trini 😉LOL! I tried to talk Neo into being Prince when I first contacted you about a May costume…then frey and I HARRASSED him about doing the live-Kai little blue dress thing, and I think that pushed him over the edge. He said you should do it! 😈
Now he’s not even going at all, and I’m really bummed. 😥
Thanks for the Giggy offer, but I don’t have the guts to wear the costume of someone who’s going to be there…and I don’t want to mess up my hair 😉 or have a human *head* bouncing around on my shoulders ([i][u]yuk[/u][/i])! Knowing you and the authenticity of your costumes is what scares me there….

***[b]THUD![/b]****First, thanks for those shots. I think this is doable, so I have begun setting my friends on the task of hunting down all that I need. Plus. I have a few good resources; one that does a lot of leather work and another than can sew real well, now for my follow up questions 🙂
Boots: They don’t look like they are going to be that hard now that I see the picture. Can you get me a shot of the top piece from the front and the boots from the back. It will help be dimension it better and also get the straps correctly. Looks almost like italian leather, softer.
Pants: What mods were done other than the chording in the front. It also looks like the jean material is thin. I don’t see a spot for a zipper from that shot. Are the pockets all still there. I think the version of the pants I want to make are from the first few episodes. and I think they were a dark gray color, going to have to check. Wondering if it is the same sort of mod or if they used different type of pants. Can you get some closeups of the front zipper area?
Jacket: I figured that is what they had done, after looking at it. The material looks thin, is that the case? Also, can you get some shots of the sleeves, they are hard to capture off of the film and I want to see how to do the studs in that area. I will spend some time watching them again and take some shots so I understand how the coat is made more. A closeup of the cording would just help me see how they fit it into the trench.
Shirt: I figured that would be the easiest piece to get! 🙂
The wing I knew I’d have to make. That part is going to take the logest as I am going to attempt to make it flair up. We’ll see how that goes. I have a friend who is going as wolverine who is REAL good with movement parts.
My last question, do you know a good way to get the aged dirty look and highlihting without actually wearing it for four years? 🙂

I had watched S1 and S2 many many times. After finishing that series I was just amazed with Nigel’s character. Plus, I am tall and have short bleached out hair. The only thing I won’t do is remove my eyebrow ring and earrings, the hassle of putting those back in would be too great. 🙂

We got us a bona-fide S3 Prince! And he’s given us all the details except the all-important will he be accompanied by a female Lexx character…I told you one of us should definitely go as May, there was bound to be a Prince around!!!
I have a feeling he’ll be receiving alot of those “private goth party” invites” that HDS was getting last year! 😉😳 Uhmmm, guys? Grimepoch? HDS? I just realized we are in the wrong forum….

And no, I won’t be accompanied by any Lexx females 🙂 The only females I will be accompanied with are my friends who are either talking on one of the panels, or dressed up as super heros 🙂

I have a pair of them and they look about the same feel. I’m sorry that’s all the shots I have. The top part mimics the bat wing by his head, so your going to have to improvise.

Can you get some closeups of the front zipper area?[/quote]The zipper is still there, it has a zipper flap that the cord was stitched to. Other mod is that the pants are cut at just below the knee.

The only costume I be gettin in to was from last years Halloween; it’s the Grim -reaper contraption that shows a upper deck and lower deck if you know what I mean. I guess I could adapt it for a Sad enough costume with a little green and purple. Ah a ‘wearing of he green and purple…. does my Irish heart good… the last time i be seein’ that is my Uncle Fergus’s Irish Wake…. you know it be lasting so long he was turning before we but him in the ground…..

This yr, with all of us, or at least a lot of us, we’re gonna be cool 8) in our Lexx costumes; me, 8/30 wearing my Jhevz costume & 8/31 wearing either my Stephalee costume or Jhevz costume, HDS wearing his Kai & others wearing their Lexx costumes, we’ll be the coolest 1s out there. I get the feeling that the Lexx guests will be impressed with all our costumes.

I’ve dry brushed before so that shouldn’t be hard. I think I might have asked this, but how thick is the jean fabric? Like Levi’s are pretty thick, is it thinlike?
Also, the wing on the back, I’ll cross that bridge when I get there, not worried about that one. Everything else is so much work to get 90-100% accurate, so I am trying for that first. Worst comes to worst, I just make it so it doesn’t lift up 🙂

[color=violet]I have His ATF Flight suit & Boots (his I.D Badge got sent somewhere else) so I made a copy with my own likeness and info from another cast member’s “ATF Badge” I was planning to go this year and wear it, but can’t plan it now maybe next year. But still actively looking for the lost badge. It might be easy enough to reproduce with detailed photo’s 💡 But I guess your on your way in a different direction… [/color]
