The main characters had to work together to stop from being compressed into little bits of non-matter. Beka wanted to go after Gerentex AND HER SHIP! and Dylan helped her with the understanding that he had a favor he wanted to ask her. Once it was all done, he asked he to join his crew. And Tyr had nothing better to do so he came along for the ride as well.
There. Is that enough?
Oh yeah. And Trance got shot and died. But then she got better.
