A couple of years ago there was a show I saw and loved, but it stopped airing after the first season. What i want to find out is whether it was only the crappy aussie stations that refuse to air it, or whether it was actually axed.
I cant remember what it’s called, (hence my problem) but the storyline was basically, this guy, really fat, lazy etc. on his way to work was hit by a train. A secret government agency took his brain and put it in a synthetic body that they had developed. When he then woke up, the gov. wanted to use him as this really cool crime fighting machiney type thing. But all he wanted to do was see his family again.
The guy – (synthetic, gov. made guy) was really hot (of course, why would you make an ugly renassaince man?) The show wasnt fantastic in any way, but i was hooked when they said secret government agency. I was devestated when they took it off.
Another show they seem to have taken away from me is Dark Angel. We got two seasons, and suddenly they don’t believe we’re good enough for these shows. AGGHRR. It doesnt help of course that i must rely on free to air channels (Which only show really popular sorts of shows, as free to air is still main tv in aust.)
so anyway, any information anyone has would be much appreciated! 🙂

My friend is excited because they showed it on Sci-Fi and there is an ad for it on Trio in the US. Can’t tell you about elsewhere….
Dark Angel is out on Region 1 DVD, again, I don’t know about elsewhere…
I find the shows I say I like get cancelled, so in the interest of saving other people the heartache, I have stopped watching anything that hasn’t already been cancelled. (That’s how I know about the DA DVD.) 😉
