Vivendi who bought Universal (which currently owns The Sci-Fi Channel) is selling it off to pay for a 17 billion dollar debt.

If NBC gets Universal, it could be bad (ha, I mean even worse) for Sci-Fi fans because NBC really wasnt very good at Sci-Fi shows.
Or they could just sell off the cable units (which is unlikely) and keep just the film production.
The way I see it, another year, another sell off, and that can only mean more cuts to Sci-Fi’s budget. Watch Stargate go bye bye.
PS
I flat out refuse to pay 30$ a month for analog cable.
