Venom 2 Confirmed! October 2020
They made $855m and counting for the first Venom film and when Amy Pascal (Producer) was interviewed by Fandango, she confirmed that Venom 2 was in development and would be produced (according to Wikipedia, the release date is October 2nd 2020). Pascal also said that that Tom Hardy would be back as Eddie Brock and his alien alter ego. It’s pretty much a given these days that actors need to sign multi-film contracts.
This was subsequently also confirmed by Jeff Pinkner, a co-writer of the first Venom movie who said during an interview, “I can’t say anything other than that it is happening.”
But, I haven’t seen anything yet on the other actors that were popular in the first film such as Michelle Williams, who stared as Eddie Brock’s ex-wife Anne Weying. Also the very cool Woody Harrelson playing the serial killer Cletus Kasady aka Carnage? Hopefully we’ll soon find out because both were awesome!
