Starting April 11, 2001 the Sci-Fi Channel is showing the Babylon 5 spinoff Crusade.
Apparently, the show has aired before, but it was on some weird channel I don’t get. Anyway, the show kicks!
It’s about these Earthforce people searching deep space for a cure for the Droche Plague on the U.S.S. Excalibur, as seen in Babylon 5: A Call to Arms. There are no Vorlons or Psi Cops (maybe C.S.I.C.O.P. sued
) like there are on Babylon 5, but there are interesting well-thought-out characters.The coolest is a Technomage named Galen. Has anybody noticed there are a lot of characters in sci-fi and fantasy named “Galen?” He must have been a popular Greek. Back on track, Galen is your typical cryptic pseudo-magical cyborg in black. My only problem is that Galen and the Technomages (a group that use technology to simulate sorcery) are similar to Gêkí and the Order of the Yün Siph of my own creation (even though I started writing about them before I had the vaguest idea what a Technomage is)
. So now when my science fiction gets published it’ll look like I’m ripping off J. Michael Straczinski’s ideas. 
Okay, long story short, Crusade rules!

Galen: I don’t. I have no living enemies. At all.God I want to see that show but I don’t get the Sci-Fi channel cause I’m Canadian. But, my friend does. I’ll have to hold a gun to her head and get her to tape it for me.
As for ripping off JMS. I can sympathize. Sometimes I think they’re are little men hiding in my house stealing all my ideas and rendering them unoriginal. Not to say that’s what JMS is doing. He is some sort of God or at least a deity of some kind.
