Who's online
Crusade
Crusade: People: Galen
Galen is the vagabond techno-mage and all around git who helps out the crew of the Excalibur from time to time.
Galen is the vagabond techno-mage and all around git who helps out the crew of the Excalibur from time to time. He's a man with a lot of emotional baggage, and he's trying to find a place in a universe which doesn't have much of a place for him.
Crusade: People: Lt. John Matheson
Lt.
Lt. John Matheson is the first officer on the Excalibur, and the first telepath in Earth Force. He's a beacon of hope to teeps everywhere who wanted to have a "normal" job, instead of working for the Psi Corps.
If you were to meet Matheson in a bar, he'd be the creepy guy staring at people. His deep stare would be a turn off to all the chicks, but he'd still do it anyway. Secretly he'd be analyzing the women to try to think up the best pick-up line. But chances are his he'd just think up something technical, exact and more to the point not funny.
Crusade: People: Dr. Sara Chambers
Dr.
Dr. Sara Chambers is the chief medical officer aboard the Excalibur. In the fake pilot episode "War Zone" we are told that she is in charge of a team of elite doctors and scientists who will do research on the ship. But that was the last we ever saw of that elite medical staff. In the rest of the episodes she was just like any other chief medical officer on a starship.
If you were to see Chambers in a bar, she'd be drinking whiskey. I don't have anything to back that up, I just see her as a whiskey drinker.
Crusade: People: Dureena Nafeel
Dureena Nafeel is the Excalibur's resident thief, pick pocket, lock pick, and general underworld rat.
Dureena Nafeel is the Excalibur's resident thief, pick pocket, lock pick, and general underworld rat. She was enslaved and taken from her homeworld at an early age, and later escaped to freedom. But freedom is relative because she spent the rest of her life stealing and running from the authorities.
If you were to see Dureena in a Pub she'd be drinking a Coor's Lite. You'd turn your attention away from her for second, then look back to find her and your Rolex missing...
Crusade: Season 1-07: Each Night I Dream of Home
To those who watched Crusade when it first aired on TNT, this episode marks the end of Crusade. For others like myself who discovered the series after it has been nixed, we remember it as the episode with Dr. Franklin. The Excalibur is ordered to rendezvous with an Earth Force destroyer in the middle of nowhere. At which point they will take on two passengers and then proceed with new orders. As usual Gideon isn't very pleased that he has been diverted away from his prime mission to run some petty errand for Earth Force, but he plays along anyway. The two passengers are Senator Ridley and some nobody named David Williams.
Crusade: People: Captain Matthew Gideon
Matthew Gideon is the captain of the Excalibur, and humanities' last hope to find a cure for the Drakh plague.
Matthew Gideon is the captain of the Excalibur, and humanities' last hope to find a cure for the Drakh plague. So needless to say, he has a very high pressure job. Before taking command of the Excalibur, he worked aboard an Explorer class vessel, meeting new species and exploring the unknown universe. Gideon is also a compulsive gambler.
Crusade: Season 1-01: Racing the Night
Crusade starts with but a dream. A dream to continue the Babylon 5, the greatest show on television. A dream for another great space opera. But more specifically, the pilot starts with a dream.
Captain Matthew Gideon is having a dream about one of the first meetings he had with various alien ambassadors about a right of passage through there space. His mission is to find a cure for the Drakh plague. A disease unleash on Earth, in B5: A Call to Arms.
Crusade: Season 1-11: The Rules of the Game
Remember the first scene of the first episode? Y'know the one where all the alien governments allow the Excalibur a right of passage through their space? Well the Brakiri don't.
Remember the first scene of the first episode? Y'know the one where all the alien governments allow the Excalibur a right of passage through their space? Well the Brakiri don't. Gideon wants to investigate a planet called Lorka 7.
Crusade: Season 1-12: War Zone
This sadguide is ordered in the order that JMS intended for the series to be aired. So when you read this review and think, "hmm this sounds like a pilot, but it's the twelve episode, what's up with this?" No your not having an aneurism, this was the pilot, the pilot that TNT wanted. JMS never intended this
episode to be produced. But it was so he stuck it in "his" order toward then end. Its not a very good episode either. It gives one the impression that they didn't put much effort or money into this show.
Crusade: People: Dr Max Eilerson
Dr.
Dr. Max Eilerson is the Excalibur's archeologist and linguist. He has a natural talent for learning new languages, even as he's hearing them for the first time. And he's not shy about telling that to everyone he meets. Since the geezer didn't have very many friends has he grew up, and was always being picked on for being too smart, he built up a self defense of pure arrogance. He has a sense of self worth is so great, it can only be described with Continuum Theory! He also has a colorful way of showing it too.
Crusade: Season 1-09: The Path of Sorrows
Our story starts off an another uninhibited planet. The crew is standing outside a giant temple, trying to find a way in... for the last 12 hours. The temple is rumored to be a place of healing. But for a "hospital" it has some really thick armor, so blasting their way in is not an option. The Temple is inscribed with the same message hundreds of launguages with the same message, "Enter freely through the path of sorrows". After all these hours of futilely trying to enter the structure, tensions are high. After a brief fireworks display by Galen, he get the attention of the crew, with an idea. His idea is to put Dureena down, emotionally.
Crusade: Season 1-13: Appearances and Other Deceits
Crusade started off on a more sarcastic mood this week.
Crusade started off on a more sarcastic mood this week. Under orders from Earth Force, Gideon had to welcome aboard two visitors; a political officer, Welles, and his flamboyant infernal decorator Kevin Sprach. Gideon fears that he'll have to kill the two of them before their stay ends, but only if Matheson doesn't beat him to it. Welles explains that the people of Earth are watching their mission closely, and so the ship and its crew must have a certain image, hence the need for Kevin.
Crusade: Season 1-06: The Well of Forever
Nothing starts the day like a Psi Corp inquisition, or as its now call the Board of Telepath Integration. Just ask Matheson. As per the new telepath rules, all teeps working with normals have to undergo periodic scans to show that they aren't abusing their powers. And just to keep it from getting too personal, all the inquisitors are named Mr. Jones.
Crusade: Season 1-02: The Needs of Earth
Alright porno! Now this is how you start off an episode right. Captain Gideon is watchin' smut. And not just ordinary adult entertainment, but the kinky alien stuff. It turns out that Eilerson had to quickly give Gideon a report, and he used an old data crystal. one with his own personal "art collection". Gideon is watching the movies to gather ammunition against the cocky archeologist in the coming days. While he's doing so Dr. Chambers enters
to give him another report, but is quickly intrigued Eilerson's collection of "Snow White and the Seven Narns" "Who's your Pak-ma-ra" amongst others.
Crusade: Season 1-08: Patterns of the Soul
If you're like me, you have a Pavlovian response to a telephone's ring. For me I feel the need to end the ringing with a heavy mallet. Why? Because usually its not good news. Too bad both Gideon and Eilerson don't have the same compulsion. Inter Planetary eXpitdions (IPX) is harassing Eilerson because he hasn't submitted any useful data on Excalibur's missions lately.
