Battlestar Galactica: Cultures: Caprica

Battlestar Galactica: Cultures: Caprica

Caprica is the centre of the Colonial universe. It was the first of the worlds to be colonized by humans over 2000 years ago. The first city was Delphi, which serves as the cultural and historical centerpiece of the Twelve Colonies of Man.

Blake’s 7: Season one: Space Fall

Blake’s 7: Season one: Space Fall

Blake’s 7 (sometimes styled Blakes7) is a British science fiction television series produced by the BBC. Four 13-episode series were broadcast on BBC1 between 1978 and 1981.

Battlestar Galactica: S01E11: Colonial Day

Battlestar Galactica: S01E11: Colonial Day

The episode as a whole reminded me of Dune, but only because it delves so deep into the politics of the ragtag fleet and what remains of the 12 Colonies. It was interesting to see all the intrigue that occurred between the factions of the colonies.

Battlestar Galactica: S01E10: Hand of God

Battlestar Galactica: S01E10: Hand of God

After a short holiday break, Battlestar Galactica is back. This was the turning point in the first season and almost everyone really enjoyed it. The montage of scenes in the beginning was our first clue, this was going to be a schizophrenic episode, filled with lots of continuing plotlines, and boy does it get whacky….

Battlestar Galactica: S01E07: Six Degrees of Separation

Battlestar Galactica: S01E07: Six Degrees of Separation

This episode was a humorous break from the rest of the series, which has until now, been very dark and serious. That’s not to say that this episode lacked the dark, gritty realistic traits that I love so much about the series.

LEXX: S04E18: The Game

LEXX: S04E18: The Game

Pretty good show actually and David Albiston did a great job on the photography. The chessboard was great too. I particularly liked the little cogs and wheels glimpsed as each pieces moved around the board.

Battlestar Galactica: S01E03: Bastille Day

Battlestar Galactica: S01E03: Bastille Day

This was another strong episode for the series, but not as strong as the season opener 33 in my humble opinion. Bastille Day might have passed for some people as an action episode, but much like last week; most of the action was in the background.

Battlestar Galactica: S01E02: Water

Battlestar Galactica: S01E02: Water

After and incredible four hour miniseries, and a more amazing series pilot, it hard not to be disappointed by this week’s episode. Not because that episode was bad, or that it failed to live up to the quality of the previous 5 hours.

Battlestar Galactica: S01E01: 33

Battlestar Galactica: S01E01: 33

This is likely one of the best first episodes in sci fi history. If you’re a die-hard original series fan, hoping that new series will falter and prove to be an embarrassment for all involved: now is the time to give up all hope.

Battlestar Galactica: S01E09: Tigh Me Up, Tigh Me Down

Battlestar Galactica: S01E09: Tigh Me Up, Tigh Me Down

This episode was directed by show star, Edward James Olmos, and he did a damn fine job! Unlike other episodes, Callis didn’t not steal the show with his antics. Instead the humour and story-lines were pretty well spread out amongst the cast.

LEXX: S04E19: Haleys Comet

LEXX: S04E19: Haleys Comet

Welp, this wasn’t the greatest of episodes. I guess it was a sort of filler before some of the cool stuff that we were expecting towards the end of the season story arc.

Battlestar Galactica: S01E06: Litmus

Battlestar Galactica: S01E06: Litmus

Litmus doesn’t feature any space battles, fist fights, or even shouting. And despite this, there is still a heavy tension through most of the episode. More than enough to make this a excellent and memorable episode to watch.

Stargate Atlantis: S01E03: Hide and Seek

Stargate Atlantis: S01E03: Hide and Seek

Canadian scientist guy – Dr. McKay – is in the medical lab of the Irish Geezer, they are talking a bit about the Ancient’s Activation Gene (great name) and Irish Geezer injects Canadian scientist.

Futurama: S02E16: Anthology of Interest I

Futurama: S02E16: Anthology of Interest I

“Anthology of Interest I” Starts off With the Professors newest invention “The Thing Longer” which enables a person to operate equipment at great distances.

Futurama: S02E18: The Honking

Futurama: S02E18: The Honking

This episode rolls all of your favorite horror myths into one. Part Dracula, part Christine and part werewolf lore, this one explores robot afterlife, Bender’s family ties and manages not to suck too badly.

Futurama: S02E19: The Cryonic Woman

Futurama: S02E19: The Cryonic Woman

Another attempt to give us some insight into Fry’s past life falters at the gate. It takes us out of the “Fry attempts to woo Leela” storyline and generally breaks the rhythm of pretty decent season.
