Farscape: Season 1-01: Premiere
Crichton looks out over a very lovely sunset at the Space shuttle that will take him and his state of the art spaceship into orbit. I guess he is contemplating life the universe and everything (or just wondering if he's gonna die).
At the space centre, Commander Crichton chats with his buddy, DK.
He tells him that he has a feeling that something BIG s going to happen, something life-changing and he sounds worried rather than excited. DK simply tells him to take it one step at a time.
Farscape: Season 1-04: Throne for a Loss
The show opens with an argument between Moya's crew regarding the imminent arrival of a Tavlek cargo ship. Aeryn is intent on providing an armed escort (just in case it's hostile), D'Argo and Rygel are arguing about it's possible contents, and Zhaan is appalled at how everyone (except her) seems to be confrontational.
Farscape: Character Bios: Moya
Moya is a Leviathan, a race of living space ships. They certainly don’t look organic, but Moya is curvaceous and sleek and behind the hull are numerous veins and hull tissues.

Leviathans are capable of faster than light travel (it’s only defensive manoeuvre) and also capable of supporting life for it’s crewmembers.
Farscape: Character Bios: Bialar Crais
Captain Bialar Crais is played ruthlessly by Lani John Tupu
I’m still compiling stuff on Captain Bialar Crais (played superbly by Lani John Tupu), if you have any additional info, please email me.
If you were to meet Captain Crais in a pub he would be the Head Doorman. It would only be a small pub, but there would be at least five doormen and all of them would be trained to kill. The pub would be quite peaceful except for the violence caused by Crais and his Peacekeepers.
Farscape: Cultures: Sebaceans
Sebaceans have a physical appearance practically identical to humans (presumably you shouldn’t need a guide to them), yet are in almost every other way totally different. A large part of the Sebacean people form the Peacekeepers - the crew of Moya’s most dangerous enemy. Moya herself is a Leviathon, and was once a Peacekeeper transport – forced to wear a Control Collar which…well, controlled her, restricting her movements so she could not escape – it didn’t quite work though, Moya escaped at the beginning of ‘Premiere’.
Farscape: Cultures: Delvians
Delvians are blue, and they are, to put it simply, plants. Being plants, they are extremely… receptive to light, causing elation, which has something to do with photosynthesis and her stomata the small yellow marks that cover her body. While most of the time you could get along fine treating Delvians no different than you would someone who wasn’t a plant, things start to get a bit tricky when they are deprived of food for too long, As can be seen by Zhaan’s reaction to near starvation in Home on The Remains. They start to, for want of a better word, flower, and get pretty touchy in the process if Zhaan is any kind of example. They then release massive quantities of spores, and would die soon afterwards if they don’t eat
Farscape: Character Bios: John Crichton
COMMANDER JOHN CRICHTON is played wonderfully yet humanely by Ben Browder
If you were to meet Crichton in a pub he would seem fairly normal - if a little boring. He probably wouldn’t be able to hold down a conversation about sex, drugs and rock n’roll.
John Crichton is the son of an ol’ spacedog NASA astronaut (once walked in space). He has a PhD in Theoretical Sciences and a refreshing lack of testosterone. He had a job as a Mission Specialist on a number of NASA Shuttle launches.
Farscape: Character Bios: Pa'u Zotoh Zhaan
PA'U ZOTOH ZHAAN played beautifully by Virginia Hey
Zotoh Zhaan is a Pa’u (priest) of Delvia. She’s a 812 cycle (years I think) old plant person with a very high intelligence and a particular skill in medicine and science. She is thoughtful and sometimes fairly laid back, but sometimes she is a also a complete nutter giving in to some of the cruelest and most dangerous emotions.
Farscape: Character Bios: Aeryn Sun
OFFICER AERYN SUN is played magnificently by Claudia Black
If you were to meet Aeryn Sun in a pub, she would be arm wrestling the barman.
This is one of those rare creatures that is aggressive without being macho, pretty sexy without being helpless, she’s scary without being frightening and a bloody pain in the bum most of the time.
Farscape: Character Bios: Ka D'Argo
KA D'ARGO is played superbly by Anthony Simcoe
You would meet D’Argo in a pub being chased by a large group of zoo-keepers. – He would escape.
When you first see D’Argo, you could be forgiven for thinking that he is a cross between an elephant and a dog. He’s big and aggressive. It’s very difficult to change his mind, especially with force and he is, by all intents and purposes, the strong arm of Moya.
Farscape: Character Bios: Rygel
RYGEL XVI is operated expertly by John Eccleston, Dave Collins, Sean Masterson, Graeme Haddon and Tim Mieville, and voiced wonderfully by Jonathan Hardy.
Rygel is a total git! He is self centred, disloyal, greedy, flatulent and absolutely wonderful. His full title is Rygel XVI, Dominar of Hyneria.
If you were to meet him in a pub he would be the 'pub bore' – recounting numerous stories of his accolades and acquisitions supported by numerous alcoholic beverages (non of which he had purchased himself).
Farscape: Character Bios: Chiana
CHIANA is played beautifully by Gigi Edgley
Chiana is the latest addition to the crew of Moya. She is sexy, streetwise and an impetuous young thief. In many instances she behaves like a petulant teen, but on other occasions she is invaluable in getting the other Moyans out of trouble. She is a skilled burglar and can talk herself out of almost any situation.
