ParticipantHere you go:
Theme from Firefly
Take my love.
Take my land.
Take me where I cannot stand.
I don’t care,
I’m still free.
You can’t take the sky from me.Take me out to the black.
Tell ‘em I ain’t comin’ back.
Burn the land
And boil the sea.
You can’t take the sky from me.Have no place I can be
Since I found Serenity.
But you can’t take the sky from me.Words & Music by Joss Whedon
Sung by Sonny RhodesChampagne Supernova
ParticipantYeah that’s truly disappointing. I got the info from here: http://timminear.net/%5B/url%5D
I’m just hoping Firefly gets picked up by UPN since WB seems more family friendly. Anyway, I better get those postcards ready.Enjoy tonight’s ep,

Not sure if I’m remembering correctly or if it’s accurate but ‘Serenity’ will be aired with new footage, still 2 hrs. long and as a flashback episode.

How has the first season gone? Is it worth watching/owning on DVD?
The first season has only reached its 9th episode on the air. The original unaired pilot is available online to make a total of 11 eps (pilot counts as 2) available to be seen. I think its worth watching/owning. The thing about this show is, it’s been accused of ripping off other bits of other shows, movies & anime films but don’t let that discourage you. I don’t know how true that fact is but I personally think that this show has its own distinct style. If you’re thinking about downloading the episodes off the net I recommend watching them in this order:
Serenity (original unaired pilot)
Train Job
Bushwacked
Shindig
Safe
Our Mrs. Reynolds
Jaynestown
Out Of Gas
Ariel
War Stories
Objects In Space (Dec.13)
Serenity (Dec.20, the original pilot’s official air date)You might find it somewhat boring in the beginning but hang on ’til at least Jaynestown ’cause the story arc kickstarts after that at Out Of Gas.

I hate to sound negative but really think it won’t. Ratings have been really terrible. A lot of FF fans are joining together to try and save the show. http://fireflysupport.com/%5B/url%5D
Hope you watch and enjoy it,

ParticipantYou’re not alone. It finally grew on me when Out Of Gas aired. I actually sing along when the song starts the show now.
Cheers!

ParticipantYeah I agree. I’m not here to frequently on these boards but the impression I get from Sadgeezer is a good one.
Cheers!
P.S. – And any Firefly fan is a cool person.

Oops, I thought it’s just the Toronto cables that get it a 8PM while everyone else gets it at 9PM. Guess I should learn these times zone.
Enjoy tonight’s show!Cheers!

ParticipantYeah my FOX reception ain’t too good as well. I watch FF on another station where I’m at ’cause the picture is more clearer. Actually, if you’re from Toronto, try global.
Oh and stormsweeper, maybe you might know. With the additional script order, what episode no.# will that bring us to?
Thanks for the replies mates!

ParticipantYeah I’m guessing River’s parents were in on it. If I remember correctly (in the beginning of ‘Safe’), Mr. Tam seemed to be more concerned about Simon’s future of becoming a doctor. And he sort of brushed River off when she asked about hers. (I hope I’m remembering the beginning correctly).

ParticipantYeah I enjoyed this episode too. My only problem was with the ending. Just when the Serenity crew were close to attacking, Mal returned. I would’ve liked to see Zoe & Jayne take on Badger & his men. And yeah, I like Inara too. I don’t think she’s as bad as others say. I think a lot of Firefly fans will eventually start to like her down the road. (Hoping Firefly sticks around, fingers crossed).
Cheers!

ParticipantAs far as I know, there isn’t a better quality version available. But hopefully the Serenity Pilot should air in December if Firefly makes it ’til then.
Cheers!

ParticipantI totally agree with you. But on the bright side, actually, what I’m hoping, is that Joss/Fox is making us like the characters, the visuals and the basic plot before they kickstart the arc & add more action. But with that said, I still like Firefly a lot. I’m just nitpicking. Besides, I’d rather watch a scifi with good characters & less action than dumb characters with lots a action.
And by the way, if I haven’t mentioned it before, I will now. You’re website is awesome! How ’bout adding Jeremiah to your Sad TV guide? It’s just a suggestion ’cause I like that show a lot too.
Cheers!

ParticipantWell I’m not one to make long posts so I’ll keep it short. ‘Out Of Gas’ was awesome. In fact, I think Firefly is an awesome show. The only problem that I have though, is that it lacks action. I realize therez the budget you got to take into consideration especially if therez 9 regulars. But Joss Whedon so far has proven that he can make really good eps without the action factor. “And that’s.. well I guess that’s somethin’!”
Cheers!
