Andromeda: S01E02: An Affirming Flame
I listened to the opening theme tune (Lifeson of Rush wrote and recorded it, my expectation rose again. I sat back, took a sip of beer from the can and let the show wash over me – All was right with the world.

The Magog are simply wonderful! They are one of those races that you tend to like despite knowing that they are pathologically closer to being Devils than anything you’ve ever seen or heard of.
The Perseids were the first aliens to contact Humans without getting dressed up in green costumes and shouting iggy iggy. They actually look like humans mostly except for a bony face and black eyes.
Vedrans were the founding members of the Systems Commonwealth and one of the most ancient and intellectual races in the three galaxies.
Beka was the commander of the salvage ship Eureka Maru and then became the First Officer of the Andromeda Ascendant.
The Andromeda Captain, Dylan Hunt is played commandingly by Kevin Sorbo.
The Andromeda Ascendant is a sentient spaceship with a computer interface able to manifest itself into a holographic persona (from ‘To Loose the Fateful Lightening).
This was voted as one of the favourites of British TV Red Dwarf fans. And we’re still only in the middle of the second series!!
What a great episode – one of the best so far! Lots of things are coming to a head and Garibaldi suddenly learns the truth…
Hmmmm. I can’t think of much to say about this episode, especially after the last. It reminds me of the ISN episode, the one where you kept telling the show to ‘Get on with it!’ Mathew wrote loads of stuff about this episode in his review in the Lurkers Guide…
After three rip-roaring seasons, the last few episodes of season 4 were some of the best Sci Fi television produced, anywhere! this episode was no exception. Gripping!
A review of the Shadow Battlecruisers, Battleships, Scoutships and Scouts
After the rather sedate Intersections in Real Time, this episode was delivered at break-neck speed (at least for Ivanova).
A heartbreaking episode, magnificently acted by Claudia Christian. The rest of the cast were pretty good too!
The season finale – a forward look at how the galaxy has changed as a direct result of Sheriden and Delenns activities.
The story of Byron and the Telepaths was an annoyance as far as I’m concerned. His wasn’t a popular character, excepting among the lady viewers.
The magnificent Tracy Scoggins plays Captain Elizabeth Lockley. This is her brief bio.
The Vorlons destroy two more colonies and people on Babylon 5 are getting very worried – The local Vorlon needs to go!
Spies and subterfuge. Sheridam must get a data crystal from an old man on the run while keeping the dude safe and hidden
Ivanova is looking of First Ones, Delenn is trying ion vain to gather other races and G’Kar and Londo are up to some good!
Lorien chats to Dead-Sheridan and Lyta, Delenn and Ivanova go to Za’ha’Dum to find him. Garibaldi was taken by Psi Cops and G’Kar is in chains.
Sheridans kama-kasi mission to Z’ha’dum has left the women on Babylon 5 in mourning. Everyone thinks he is dead and none of the War Council members (other than Delenn) will support a trip to rescue him.
An awesome made for TV film. The story of telepaths and their importance to the saga and also a little more info on why Sinclair is so important to the Minbari.
Sheridan and Delenn are gearing up to take their respective home-worlds back for their enemies. Another terrific fast-paced show.
