Andromeda: S02E01: The Widening Gyre
Well, I thought it was a fantastic episode except some of the story lines seemed on familiar territory but there were enough plot twists to make them acceptable.

Read moreIt could have been a whole lot better. A whole lot more plausible. A whole lot more exciting…anyways…
Read moreThis episode was too self-contained. – It wouldn’t matter what season you placed it in, it’s a filler.- Just where the heck is Rev Bem all this time?
Read moreI think it’s really cool to sort of learn more about Trance and her abilities. It was much more interesting to see her being somewhat evil. The professor (cancer man from x-files) was terrific! It was also nice to see non humanoid aliens for once.
Read more…PUHLEASE! This was one of the stupidest, throw good beer at the T.V. kind of episodes.
Read moreThe visuals were stunningly layered with detail and colour in every shot. The fight scenes were superbly reminiscent of Matrix. Although the parody was there, the story was compelling and gripping. It was also refreshing to see a warship behaving like a warship.
Read moreThis show was great, it was funny and sad and silly all at the same time. – For a purple girl with a long tail, Trance can be really silly sometimes.
Read moreThis was a whoppingly good episode. There wasn’t much in the way of mind shattering computer graphics, and to be honest, seeing the Magog (who to me, look like vicious monkeys) always makes me laugh. But the actual story was thought provoking and powerful.
Read moreWhat a great episode – one of the best so far! Lots of things are coming to a head and Garibaldi suddenly learns the truth…

Read moreThis episode featured many interesting story-lines, including two that rival each other for the “A story” Which makes writing this review a real bitch! Depending on the time of day this episode was either great or fair.
Read moreWhen I first read that the Galactica was going to be boarded by Cylon Centurions, I had a very un-sadgeezerly thought. How the hell are they going to pay for all that CGI?
Read moreAfter and incredible four hour miniseries, and a more amazing series pilot, it hard not to be disappointed by this week’s episode. Not because that episode was bad, or that it failed to live up to the quality of the previous 5 hours.
Read moreI guess they gave up on it in the second season once they figured out what they were in for. A robotic Santa gone awry is a very sci-fi touch. Classic. Not a bad Christmas episode as they go. There was only a little sappiness, nothing unbearable.

Original Air Date: September 25, 1995 Futurama: S02E06: The Lesser Of Two EvilsAnother classic theme is explored in this episode: the evil twin. Very nice animation in a very sci-fi episode. The only complaint I have, aside from the usual nitpicking, is the ending. It’s like they didn’t have any more story and just tacked on Leela’s beauty pageant win. Read moreFuturama: S02E07: Put Your Head On My ShouldersThis felt like another one of those filler episodes, just something seasonally appropriate for that time and slightly amusing. The script was fantastic, with jokes spilling out nearly every line, and enough quick B and C plots to keep the “Romeo and Juliet” A-Plot moving along at a steady pace. Read moreFuturama: S01E06: A Fishful of DollarsThis episode marks the first appearance of Mom, a kick-ass character that recurs throughout the series. She tells it like it is, in some very colorful language. I can’t decide if I like her or Zap Brannigan more. It was crude, funny, and had lots of subtle background jokes and plays on wording. And as usual, the animation was top notch, with plenty of attention paid to details. Read more |
