Farscape: S02E22: Die Me Dichotomy
This was one of those amazing episodes that keep you on the edge of your seat (or in my case with your hand in the tissue box). Now, I really do know why I love this show so much!

Read moreWhew, more Crichton torture, and one very creepy evil guy. Scorpius isn’t flamboyantly evil, he is evil because that is his nature. It is hard to convey how evil he really comes across in the episode; he isn’t over the top about it, like Maldis, say (“That Old Black Magic” and “Picture If You Will), but perhaps that makes him even more terrifying.
Read moreThe show seemed to explain why Kryten had become so insufferable in the last few episodes. He seemed to settle down in some of the future episodes, but his jealousy of Kochanski is still there.
Read moreThe introduction (two part show) to the crazy and wacky world of Red Dwarf saga nanobots. This concept saved the seventh series in my opinion – wonderfully executed sci fi fun!
Read moreOMG! Holly returns!
Read moreAt first, I didn’t give a rats ass for this show but then it sort of grew on me! 🙂
Read moreI have to tell you guys, Chloe Annette, as Kochanski looks absolutely drop-dead gorgeous in this episode dressed in that uniform! I know it’s sexist, but what the hell, I reckon you girls are pretty impressed with Lister and Rimmer in their uniforms too.
Read moreFor me, it took a while to get going, and many people have emailed me telling me that they don’t like the fully crewed Red Dwarf twist to the series, but the saga had to be updated and it is as funny and wacky as ever.
Read moreThis was a really jam-packed episode, and very suspenseful – a great start to the new season.
Read moreThe name of this episode has multiple meaning, which include something like “The Lives of Death” or “Death’s Lives,” or perhaps “Death’s Ways of Life.” In addition to the “life-related” meanings, there is also an alternate meaning to “vitas” which means to “avoid or evade,” which would give the title the meaning “‘To Avoid/Shun/Evade Death.” All of the possible meanings seem more or less relevant, making this the best-titled Farscape episodes to date, in my opinion. Puns are cool.
Read moreLister marries a Gelf but then ‘does a runner’. The Gelf’s family take revenge on the Red Dwarf crew by afflicting them with an Emohawk
Read moreBesides the obvious fun of watching the antics of a world full of Rimmers, the jokes and one-liners in this episode were terrific!
Read moreThis was the last show in the series, and boy, was it a cliffhanger! – The Red Dwarf crew meet themselves from then future!
Read moreThe dude on the grassy knoll! No way, seriously, you ain’t gonna believe it! Red Dwarf starts a new season with a vengeance!
Read moreThis episode was terrific! (except that it was the last complete episode we saw Rimmer in Season 7). In this episode, we saw the return of Ace Rimmer and again, some fairly mind-blowing comedy sci-fi.
Read moreThe next main character of the Red Dwarf Crew makes an entrance. CK turns out to be a very popular actress in the role and fans warm up to her pretty quickly.
Read moreThis was a moany, wishy-washy episode that tried to establish Kochanski as a creditable character – but it missed out all the parts of the Red Dwarf Saga that we had come to know and love. Chloe Annett is a wonderful actor that has been introduced to play a major part in a hugely successful cult sci-fi show. Her awe-inspiring performance was wonderful, but oh my god! I’m starting to miss Bob Grant!
Read moreHe’s Arnold, Arnold Arnold Rimmer,
Without him life would be much grimmer,
He’s handsome trim and no-one’s slimmer,
He will never need a Zima.
(hahaha – it should have been a hit single!)
It was great to see Rimmer’s character challenged in this episode. We all know what a git he can be. But as we and Nirvana suspected, he may be something more than a complete Smeghead!
Read moreThe crew have to justify themselves to….. themselves. Failure to do so will result in their death!
Read moreThis was another fine episode. It opened with the Starbug landing on an icy planet. The crew were there to investigate an abandoned laboratory. They believe that there is one sole survivor, a genius
hologram doctor.
The show opened with an amazing experiment to duplicate a strawberry using an adapted Matter Paddle. The duplicated signal is split three ways, thereby triplicating the object. In this case a strawberry (the last one in the universe according to Lister).
Read moreI can’t think of any science fiction TV show as funny or as innovative. For me, it was perfect!
Read moreThe first episode or the new series was a cracker! They had a lot to live up to after the perfection of the last episode of Season 5 and they really did a great job. Sex (or at least the kiss of all kisses!), violence and some GREAT one-liners produced an episode that would live in our memories forever.
Read moreThis episode is my favourite Red Dwarf episode (yep, another perfect score incoming!). It’s the story of a meeting with a Gestalt Entity – a composite of the Red Dwarf crew!
Read moreThis GREAT show opened with Rimmer playing a Sam Spade character in an AR computer simulation game. Little did he know that later in the day, he would have to play a cowboy game to stay alive!
Read moreAnd there the show ends. This playing with time stuff soon becomes a key feature of the Red Dwarf series, and although the science behind it can be a little ropy, you have to be impressed by the writers understanding – and their comic genius of course.
