Ah Belgium beers i think it great that you have a specific glass for a specific beer. I don’t know what the name of the beer was but that trapitz monk beer at about 10% was a truly magnificent beer. Although i did go to a beer festival in the uk quite recently (which is my first in a few years) and i must say that the local breweries are still doing the business and producing the best beers.

Or even feed it with explosive slugs.

For me the film was great i enjoyed it and it took me back to when i was a young sadchild and i was totally lost in the film. Yes it as better than episodes I and II and i personally think better than episode VI . I also think that things were all tidied up nicely ready for episode IV although i did spot some inconsistencies better episode III and the later episodes. All that aside after watching episode III all i wanted to do was go home and watch episode IV.
My biggest gripe was not with the film but the with the media especially radio stations trying there hardest to spoil the film by revealing what was going to happen. Ok i know what was going to happen but i wanted to see how they got there myself the way GL had intended me to see it and not by some idiot radio DJ with only his ego to please! ๐Ÿ™

Ah back to my favourite subjuct BEER especially as the sun is out and the weather is warm. It just makes you want to drink a nice long beer. As for this crazy frog crap i wonder how long it would take to drown the frog in a pint of beer. ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

Well now i’ve seen all thirteen episodes of the new Doctor Who i can whole heartily give it the thumbs up in fact i think it’s one of the best things on the beeb in ages. Although i a a big fan of the old Doctor Who. so ok so the last few years of the old one was not as good but i feel that it was more down to the scripts. This time the scripts are good and i feel that the snippets of the following weeks episode were good. Especially up to the final two episodes which made you wish you had your own tardis and could go forward in time to the next week. It’s sad that Eccelston is not returning for the next series but i did read that piper was going to do all of series 2.
Can’t wait could do with the return of the Master definitely one of the best baddies!!! ๐Ÿ˜†

No i must say i haven’t seen it but i do hope it makes the old tv channels. It sounds like the program to fill the buffy / angel void. Anything that is slightly on the odd side i always find quite interesting and i will always give it a look. I will keep my eyes peeled to see if it makes it over to the uk.

I thought ultraviolet was a good series but may be a bit short.

    I got Galadriel too!

Shame really i was quite hoping for something like ‘The Master’ or ‘Darth Vadar’. Mind you she did win an Oscar.

in reply to: Has anyone here seen Phantom of the Opera and what #74211

No i haven’t seen Phantom Of The Opera. I know it’s a musical and when i think of musicals i think of all those christmas’s (before the invention of VCR and DVD), been forced to watch ‘The Sounds Of Music’. In fact at times i still wake up screaming. I had a traumatic childhood you know!

I went back to my college days the weekend and had some ruddles county for the first time in ages and i must say it was rather nice. I tried some Blue Bullet as well which was actually better than ruddles. Nice to have some real ale for a change.

    I’m counting on you discozombie.

in reply to: Beer vs Lager #70185

I totally agree the best real ales are all 5% or above, like Theakstons old peculiar, or enville gothic and the daddy of them all which i’ve not had in years marstons owe rodger where if my memory serves me correct and has not be befuddled by too much alcohol is about 7.5%.
Real ales all seem to have there own distinct flavours which is the appeal with them. Especially when you get a beer festival locally.

in reply to: Who’s your 5 favorite Villians? #70180

My five favourite bad dudes have to be:

    1) The Master – In my opinion the best bad dude of them all. Especially the original played by Roger Delgado.

    2) Mr Bester – Even with all the bad dudes going around in Babylon 5 he was the most mysterious with his own agenda.

    3) Q – Comically bad, always wanted to see him reduced Jean Luc to tears, just for a laugh.

    4) Cigarette Smoking Man – Again another mysterious character and never telling what he was after.

    5) Either Captain Black or The Hood – Captain Black had a cool beard while the Hood had glowing eyes. Wonder if he had a Go’uld inside him.

Sorry still doesn’t ring any bells with me but now i am intreged. I’m interested to find out more.

Nope don’t remember any disco zombies. Did they dance about instead of eating peoples brains. Now that would be scary! ๐Ÿ˜ก

Poor people how do they cope?

So you want to know what is good about Guinness, well where do i start? It has a wonderful flavour almost a coffee flavour in my opinion. Also it’s thick so it like eating and drinking at the same time. No need for those horrible Kebabs they serve in chip shops late at night. It feeds the brain gives its the mental powers you need to argue that soap operas are a load of phap on a higher level. So in my opinion Guinness rules.
Mind you i also like real ales as well! 8)

What a great film, in the battle scenes i almost felt like jumping up and joining in and kicking a little orc butt myself. I didn’t feel that the film was too long in comparsion with the book i felt as if the end had been rushed.
Can’t wait to see the special edition and all the bits they cut out including good old Christopher Lee.
There was for me two down sides to this movie:
    1/ It ended
2/ The numbness of my butt in those uncomfortable seats
in the cinema, which had to stay in the same place almost
for three and a half hours.
It was truly a great film!! ๐Ÿ˜›

Nope Carling is just pants, if there isn’t anything else to drink then i will, (after many minutes of protesting to the gaffer of the pub asking him what sort of drinking establishment he was running if all he had to drink was carling), and drink the nasty stuff. Normally it never comes to that. ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

in reply to: Beer vs Lager #69747

I find that this is making me thirsty, but on the subject of beer most of the beers listed are great. I think i’ve tried them all and woke up in wierd places. Don’t ask! My favourite has to be Guinness. Carling is pants.
