🙂  It’s easily done, I don’t think I would have the fortitude to concentrate like that – why did you want to know?  Just curious?

    Hi Greg.

We’ve recovered all of the Reviews, all of the books and all of the quotes.  We’re still trying to get the Book Reviews and quotes into the system, and reformat the existing reviews so that they fit with the theme and can be navigated.  All your reviews for instance, are in, it’s just that keywords need to be entered into the reviews so that they can be searched.  We will also be creating a content menu system to easily navigate the resources properly (similar to the last system).

Most of the SadBOARD topics have been recovered, those from three months before the ISP’s disc-crash were lost I’m afraid (between Oct 07 and Dec 07).  All  the others were recovered – we even maneged to re-format some that hadn’t been seen since the last major overhaul because they were incorrectly formatted.

Unfortunately, all this is very slow.  I try and reformat a few reviews, books and quotes each day, but there are nearly 1000 of them.  I’m hoping to have the reviews completed by the end of the month.

    Wot!  Other sadgeezers too?

Actually dude, we’re hoping to restart the sadcasting again once the site has been updated (soon).  I guess you’ll just have to touch yourself until then  🙂

Haha, yep, that plot whole was a cracker!  Cant dissagree with any of what you said (except the cuteness of the lead geezer – though even there, Newkate agrees with you).

Yep, I was a big fan of Rome (main reason I’m watching Journeyman), so I’m looking forward to the new eps of New Amsterdam.

    Haha 🙂

I think they weren’t in many of the first season episodes, but now you come to metion it, I can only think of the episodes involving the army of lights fight with Earth (Mars attack etc.) but I may be wrong.

Still trying to get the reviews back up onto the site (to jog my memory).

Thanks guys, we’d hope you would like the familiarity of the old site with the
facilities of the new (even though they aren’t fully configured yet :).

We still have quite a lot of work to do on the theme (tweeks here and there and some new graphics) so hopefully you’ll like it even more in a few weeks 🙂

Well – it happened..since there is nothing else on right now I keep watching Terminator. After last nights ep, they finally sucked me into it and now I’m all intrigued as to where the plot is going! ARRGHHH. Feel my Pain!

haha 🙂  I get concerned about what this writers strike is turning us into  🙂

I could only watch the first episode but suspect that I’ll get into it soon too.  Hell, can you believe I’ve been watching ‘One Tree Hill’  ?!?!  How sad is that!

(It’s not even proper sci fi)  🙂

I know what you mean.  If it wasn’t for the urgency in getting this site back up and running again, I’d be on it now  🙂

I’ve actually only been playing for a week (wife pressured me to play – wants to go and explore dungeons together Innocent  But I’m proud of my level 11 even though I’m still a noob.

    I know what you mean.

I think it’s possible to love and hate Dune (all media) at the same time.  Some parts of the film were bloody fantastic, The series, though boring in parts was good for breadth and the books are very well written and provide much of the story which you seem to be missing.

Some of the more intellectual SadGeezers like yerself (with the greatest respect) can read too much into a TV series that is (frankly) aimed at teenagers.  The making of the film was a saga all unto itself with murder, mystery and intrigue and personally, I really only liked the first two books.

But together, they all seemed to complement.  There was stuff in the film that I just couldn’t see in the books and the series had boobs in it!!!!  Did you miss that!!!  Wink

But I take on board all your comments and on the whole, I agree. I guess enthusiasm for a well scopedpiece of Sci Fi can only take me so far before I start to get board.

    (wow!  This spellchecker is great!)

In WoW, I’m a rogue (SadGeezer) and that is the very first dance on the video.

Yes I know, but I chose the rogue because of the dictionary definition:

    •  An unprincipled, deceitful, and unreliable person; a scoundrel or rascal.
    • One who is playfully mischievous; a scamp.
    • A wandering beggar; a vagrant.
    • A vicious and solitary animal, especially an elephant that has separated itself from its herd.
    • An organism, especially a plant, that shows an undesirable variation from a standard.
Which character are you in WoW?

The WYSIWYG will change slightly when the new theme is introduced And you’ll see many more formatting options, but so far it’s looking ok!

    HAHA!
    LMAO

Thanks dude, It must be pretty shitty for you guys having to use this site while it’s so clunky, but stuff will get MUCH better soon, unfortunately most of the work is being done on the backend (database) The ass of SadGeezer.com isn’t as smooth and round as some of us hoped 🙂

Once we scrub the old data of the superfluous crap that was collected over the years on the old site, we can re-upload it and it’ll look all nice and shiny and erm, round 🙂

Unfortunately Terminator was only watchable (for me anyway) for about 30 minutes. In fact, it was only Summer that kept me watching that long!

We had a major bust up with those idiots at BGFWeb and they deleted the old site without warning.

Worse still, all the backups were corrupted after a disk crash and the latest we managed was from September 2007.

Terrible hassles but we are still here – ….. just.

As we re-build the site we’re aiming to make it faster and to havebetter features. Unfortunately that is a very long job for people who do this stuff part time.

Users and forum posts are now set up, although we’ll be adding more fucntionality to SadBAORD in the next few days. You can log in or register without fear of being deleted 🙂

I can’t wait to see it either. It was a bit of a cliff hanger if I remeber. Only trouble with Jerico is that it’s a little slow moving. Hopefully it’ll liven up.
